Robots run restaurant

Robots run restaurant

A restaurant is being run by robots.

The eatery in Kunshan, east China, has over a dozen robots which wait on tables and cook the food, the Metro newspaper reports.

Owner Song Jugang, explained that each robot costs approximately 40,000 yuan (£4,000), a similar salary to a human employee.

Song says the machines are more reliable than their human counterparts as they don't require any holidays or sick days.

The robots - which take two hours to charge - work five hour shifts and have limited vocabulary.

Some humans work in the kitchen to cook the more complex dishes.
