Domanik Green, 14, who studies at Paul Smith Middle School in Florida, logged on to the member of staff's computer and changed the screen saver to a picture of two men kissing.

The boy has since been charged with an offense against a computer system and unauthorised access after guessing the teacher's password, reports the Metro newspaper.

He said: ''I logged into a teacher's computer who I didn't like and tried putting inappropriate pictures onto his computer.''

Sheriff Chris Nocco hopes his harsh punishment will help serve as a warning to other mischievous students.
