The six-month-old feline - known to play in the sinks - has been given a flood warning after it is accused of turning on a faucet in the animal center causing it to flood.

Officials at the Florida Humane Society in Pompano Beach told the Miami Herald that one of its animals turned on the water supply, leaving it to run for 17 hours.

President Carol Ebert said the flooding caused water to run out of the shelter's back door - but on its way out it caused $5,000 worth of damage to the floor and cabinets.

Luckily no animals were injured but the shelter is looking for donations to help replace the damaged equipment.

The cat culprit's name has not been released but it's understood to have been adopted - with its new owners warned that it is ''intelligent enough to turn on water faucets''.
