Teenager has fear of human hair

A girl is terrified of hair.

''Just seeing a clump of hair makes me want to throw up. I become tense and I want to squeal.''

Emily White has such a serious fear of hair that the sight of it makes her feel sick, but she refuses to attend therapy.

The 17-year-old, who can't even touch her own hair, told the Daily Star newspaper: ''Just seeing a clump of hair makes me want to throw up. I become tense and I want to squeal.''

She added: ''My face boils up, my fingers clam up and my cheeks go red. I just hate the texture of hair. There's something about it which makes me feel nauseous and nervous.''

The teenager, who suffers from the condition known as chaetophobia, experiences extreme panic attacks when she visits the salon twice a year.
