One third of children do not know where milk comes from, according to new research.

A study carried out by Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons has revealed 33 per cent of children aged between four and eight years old believe milk comes straight from the fridge.

The survey has also revealed one in 10 people believe that a cow is the size of a double decker bus, whilst some think the farm animals are smaller than a cat.

In order to remove these misconceptions, the confectionary company has created a realistic eight foot animatronic cow named Buttons, which has been propped up on the streets of London to show families exactly what cows do and educate children on the source of their food.
