Tom Hardy has been named as the favourite to play the next James Bond.

With current star Daniel Craig recently admitting he would rather ''slit his wrists'' than play the fictional spy for another movie, a survey of the UK public conducted by online casino LeoVegas.com found that Tom Hardy topped the list with 22 per cent whilst Idris Elba - who is also rumoured to be taking on the role - came in at 15 per cent.
The bookies' favourite Damien Lewis was third with 11 per cent whilst actors Orlando Bloom and Henry Cavill completed the top five.
