Traffic warden gave Santa Claus £35 fine

A traffic warden left a £35 fine on Santa Claus' sleigh.

''My back was turned for no more than 30 seconds. As I turned round, I found a traffic warden issuing a ticket.''

Charity volunteer Chris Uttley has slammed the warden in Leicestershire in the East Midlands of England for slapping the parking ticket on his sleigh after he parked it for just 30 seconds in a prohibited area.

He told The Sun newspaper: ''I was just transferring some collection tins from my car to the sleigh when she pounced.

''My back was turned for no more than 30 seconds. As I turned round, I found a traffic warden issuing a ticket.''

Mr. Uttley has appealed to the local council to cancel the fine - which will increase to £70 if left unpaid - and it is currently being ''reviewed''.
