English-speaking travellers at Chennai International Airport have been warned not to eat the carpet.

Businessman Justin Ross Lee, owner of Pretentious Pocket, was travelling through the terminal when he came across the sign, which carried a rather strange piece of advice.
Alongside a picture of the sign, he wrote: ''What an outrage India.
''All I want to do is go down on your curry-stained airport carpet...''
Although mistranslated signs are not unusual, it is rare for passengers to be so totally baffled by the overarching message.
