Two-headed tortoise born in Denmark

A two-headed tortoise has been born in Denmark.

The land-dwelling reptile - born on September 9 - suffers from a condition known as polycephaly, which is caused when identical twins fail to separate properly prior to their birth, reports Telegraph.co.uk.

Vet Beth Fledelius - who works in the clinic where the animal was born - posted a clip of the one-day-old tortoise on video-sharing website Storyful, prompting the images of the cute creature walking around and poking it's heads of its shell to go viral.

According to experts the unusual tortoise will be able to survive without difficulty.
