Beth Evans, 24, and Joshua Moran, 26, have made a formal complaint to Emirates after they were booted off the flight minutes before it was about to take-off.

The teaching assistant has claimed an air stewardess overheard her saying she had stomach pains but was still OK to fly.

But the cabin crew decided as a doctor was not on board that they couple had to leave the flight instead and the couple were ''furious'' after having to pay £250 to re-book their flights despite already paying £400.

Joshua told The Sun Online: ''To be kicked off for period pains, it was madness.

''Beth was in tears and getting upset when the hostess was asking her questions. 'It's embarrassing to have to explain about period pains when it's being overheard.

''They didn't have anyone look her over. They just contacted a medical team in the US and they said Beth couldn't fly.''
