A woman was left disgusted when she splashed out £89 on a new pair of jeans - only for them to arrive with a dirty thong wedged in the front pocket.

Christine Evans - a nurse - couldn't believe her eyes when she tried on the Not Your Daughters Jeans, which she bought from the upmarket department store Nordstrom, slipped her hand into the pocket, and found a ''worn'' pair of knickers sat in there.
Taking to her Twitter account, Christine complained: ''After many years of loyalty to your company, I was appalled at the lack of customer service you gave me when I received a pair of Not Your Daughters Jeans with a dirty and worn thong in the front pocket. I called customer services and the response was not adequate with company standards.''
