The unnamed mother's daughter Molly Robbins took to Twitter to share the funny anecdote and reveal that she had in fact forgotten to put her glasses on and couldn't see that she was holding the deceased insect to her eye area.
Molly, who goes under the Twitter handle, @MCreativeCakes, wrote on the micro-blogging site: ''Text from mum - having trouble sticking lashes on without her glasses.. turns out she was trying to glue a dead fly to her eyelid. I'm out. (sic)''
