Eva Longoria’s Jonathan Ross Dress January 31, 2008
Posted by Caz in : Fashion , add a commentEva Longoria’s style always catches my eye but this dress that she wore on the Jonathan Ross show last week really got me excited  and after a week of searching high and low for it I finally found a similar one!

Ok so Eva’s is no doubt some expensive designer creation and I’ve yet to find exactly who is responsible for it but the dress below is close enough for me….and it’s a steal at £40! It’s part of Dorothy Perkins new spring/summer collection which, after a sneeky peek, i can confirm is spot on with the key summer trends. Well done Dotty P.

As well as the news from FemaleFirstwe take a look at the Oscars, the tragedy of Heath Ledger, and Mark Ronson and the Brits
The fate of the Oscars ceremony is still up in the air, but that doesn’t mean producer Gil Cates & Co. has stopped working to put a show together.
So much so that I’m told requests have gone out to potential presenters. A well-placed source reports that Cameron Diaz is one of the first—if not the first—to sign on as a presenter.
“Not confirming anything,†Diaz’s rep said in an email. “Any conversations about the Oscars are contingent upon the status of the strike.”
It would be Diaz’s fifth time as a presenter at the Academy Awards.
While Cates hasn’t revealed any backup plans if the Writers Guild pickets the 80th annual awards gala on Feb. 24—many big-name celebs like George Clooney have said they will not cross the picket line—I’m told the mood at the Academy is upbeat, and they’re optimistic they won’t be left with a Golden Globes-like fiasco
Tara Reid agree’s with the jailing of Lohan and Hilton, Mark Ronsons meteororic rise to fame is charted in our feature, and we look back on the short but interesting career.

Heath Ledger Remembered January 25, 2008
Posted by Helen in : Movies , add a comment
It’s time to spare a thought for Heath Ledger who sadly passed away earlier this week at the age of twenty eight.
Pushing aside the reason why his life may have been cut so tragically short Heath Ledger was an astonishing acting talent who really was on the brink of super-stardom.
He will be remembered most for his turn in Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain, a risky role that highlighted his desire to be recognised for his acting talent than box office success.
However the his role in the movie earnt him an Oscar nomination as well as the respect of his Hollywood peers.
I hope that the release of a Dark Knight is not pushed back as there is no better way to celebrate his life than to enjoy his work.
The movie industry has been dealt a heavy blow losing one of it’s most promising talents who, without a doubt had a long and successfull future ahead of him.
Rest in peace.Â
