Dating Taboo’s – let’s break the norm: Speed dating time (hopefully) August 7, 2008

Hello everyone!

Things have been a bit dry of late with the whole dating site, i have been chatting to a few people but I think after the initial gorging on the ‘fresh meet’ that was my profile, everyone has been distracted by the newbies and I’m now old news! Gutted, However, I have met two or three pretty cool people from it, however, despite me saying where i wanted ‘potential partners’ to be located, none of them are actually near my hometown.

But there may be light at the end of the tunnel…I have entered this competition to go speed dating on the London Eye! So if I get picked for this super exciting event, there may still be hope for me yet!

I found it when I was browsing for speed dating in my area (whilst I should be working) and even though London is quite a way away from me, what better place to meet a man than in the largest city in the UK….I mean come of, if there isn’t a dashing fella there, there really are none on this bare planet!!

This event is on the London eye in a ‘Love Pod’ created by the scrummy people over at Impulse, who are desperatley trying to create a ‘romance revolution’ according to their site  (which is where i found the competition)…so I filled in the application form which was relativley easy and now i have my fingers and toes crossed in the hope of meeting some hot Londoner….however I’m a bit dubious about the southern accent being a ‘Northern bird!!’

However, I have faith in impulse, as this article on FemaleFirst states; http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/celebrity_interviews/Roxanne+McKee-53733.html that romance isn’t dead, and if someone as pretty as Roxanne say’s it then it must be true…I hope she can drag her fellow Hollyoaks actor OB (Darren Jefferies) into the love pod! yummy.

 Anyway, keep your fingers crossed for me guys, if not, I think im going to have to get some rechargable batteries for my pink rabbit…and we don’t want that!
