Well, here we are on week two of my quest to learn how to belly dance.
After seriously damaging my arms while trying to learn how to make the right snake movements with my hands, I was ready to move on to learning how to wiggle my hips.
What I do like about this DVD is the fact that you can learn the art of belly dancing in stages, so that if you’re crap at one, you can just move on and forget about it, until the time comes for you to learn a whole routine.
And, while I was having a lazy flick ahead to see what else my belly dancing expert had in store for me, I found a section on how to seduce your boyfriend by learning a sexy routine- oo-er!
Truthfully, I can’t see me ever looking sexy with this dance, especially if last night is anything to go by. It turns out that shaking my hips is harder than moving my arms, and after whacking my leg into the coffee table, trying to get the right ‘movement’ I decided to call it a night.
Just like all things, learning a new skill requires patience- so hopefully by Friday I’ll be a happy bunny who can wiggle her hips and have the perfect snake arms!
