The semi-final’s of this years Britain’s Got Talent only started on Sunday night, but already there have been a number of ‘shocking’ decisions made by the judges.
Although I’m inclined to agree with the four acts that have made it through to the final so far, it would seem that the British public aren’t quite so happy, despite the fact that the two who make it through, as usually the pair who receive the highest number of votes.
You see, the first act that goes through in the live show (so far that’s been Susan Boyle and Flawless) are voted 100% by the public, and then the judges choose the second act to make it through, based on the next two with the highest number of votes. Fair? Well, not according to some disgruntled viewers.

I know it’s easy to say, ’it’s a fix’ when your favourite act goes home in any show, and it seems that the decision to put through dance act Diversity, over child singer Natalie Okri has put the wind in more than a few people‘s sails.
Now, I love watching a sweet little girl singing her heart out, but come on, does anyone else think that she’s acting just a little bit too grown up for her age, prancing around like a tiny Jamelia.
Is it just me or are kids these days growing up way too fast?

Yes, Natalie was acting too grown up!! But that is the fault of adults that are allowing that to happen. She has a brilliant voice, confidence, and undoubtedly got real talent and soul. She did the wrong song, for her age,and for her voice. What a shame that once again adults let kids down……
Natalie had an annoying attitude that was a big turn off. Hollie Steel, on the other hand, has a sweetness and way more talent. Hopefully, she makes it through later this week. I want either her or Julian Smith to win it all, Susan Boyle is just a tad too coarse.
Diversity were AMAZING both in Audition and even BETTER on Live Show
Natalie was AMAZING in Audition, but barely average on the live show due to a strange choice of song.
To be honest it was stupid that she even got the one vote from the Judges that she did as Diversity were the better act.
It’s an obvious fix to allow the judges favourites to progress. You don’t honestly believe that they will leave it to the public to decide who goes before the Queen do you? In every semi final there are 4 half decent acts and 4 “WTF are these doing on here” acts. Acts like the operatic flower arranging, the guy who sounded like pigs being slaughtered rather than a saxaphone, the talentless retard DJ and tonight we will see that gross ugly dirty looking woman with the ugly tits and the old breakdancer. There were far better acts sent home because they stood a chance.
To DC: How old are you? You have the mentality of someone of 5 or less. Obviously you have NO IDEA about music and how saxophone should sound like (mind, you can’t even spell it! – not surprising for an under 5) and what is the last time you actually listed to MUSIC and not gappa goupa talentleness NOISE from groups that (like you) can’t evan spell what they sing? Grow up!
Now, I made spelling mistakes by typing too fast! LOL Correction: “talentless” NOISE from groups that (like you) can’t “even” spell what they sing? Grow up!
obviously is a fix.
1. The Shaheen thing was staged. He seemed to deal with it to easily when he was asked to sing another song and lets face it he didnt exactly seem the type to sing Valerie by Amy Winehouse.
2. Flawless were the first act on in the final whereas Diversity were last but one so by the time the end came everyone forgot about Flawless and went ” Diversity are better ” when anyone with dancing knowledge will tell you that Flawless are better in every department.
3. That girl crying was a load of crap. She knew what she was doing. She was either told by her parents to try and achieve a sympathy vote or the show set it up. Its never happened before so it would of shocked people and drawn the audience in to see how she reacted.
4. Susan Boyle would of easily won if it hadn’t been for her sudden superstardom. Its blatantly obvious that as soon as she became an overnight superstar that Simon changed his mind who would win the show. She became hated by a lot of people for the way papers portrayed her and her attitude but overall she was very, very talented. Might of not been the best looking but still had an awesome voice.
5. Each show contains 5 semi finals. 4 good acts and 4 stupid acts. Dont you think if this part of the competition is fixed then the rest of it is. Not all of the votes get counted. They just choose when to stop the votes being counted. They should have a randomated system where groups like Diversity and Flawless can be in the semi final against each other. At least its an honest way of doing it. Its all staged yet soooo many people tune in every night to watch it. Who in there right mind would ever put that human “supposed to be” saxophone through and try to justify it as talent. They could of easily picked 40 talented people from that show but instead had 10 amazing ones, 10 good ones, and 20 crap and laughable ones. What a farce.
6. Expect Aiden Davis, Shaheen or one of the other kids to come back next year and do a George Sampson.
I for one will never watch the show again as it is complete and utter rubbish. Flawless were the most professional. Stavros Flatley were the funniest. Susan was obviously the most talented. That saxophone player Julian Smith was incredible.
The only thing that won it for Diversity was that cute little kid called Ashley. Its not a beauty contest, its a talent contest. Thats why I wont watch it again.
New programme in the next few weeks Britains Got Talent : Flawless vs Diversity – The dance off
Flawless would wipe the floor with them as they are much better and would easily fit into a film like Stomp the Yard.
Of course it’s fixed! If not with voting (any more, ha!) then with a very careful selection of judge’s comments, editing, and the choice of acts.
I personally loved all of the acts except for the two Smiths. I could tell they were talented, but their acts both bored me senseless.
And it will still remain my guilty pleasure because I love watching all the variety of people. If it were just a showcase of absurdly talented people, then I wouldn’t bother with it. With things like music and dancing, there are already enough people out there making good music, etc, for me to follow more. But seeing a weird and wonderful variety of very odd, skilled, or inventive acts, now that’s entertainment
I don’t watch it for the “realism” thing. I’ve never bothered voting, because it is so obviously all a big, silly sham.
Just think – if it were on talent only, then Stavros Flatly would NEVER have gotten through! (And I adored them!)
