Big Brother 2009: Is It Worth It? June 17, 2009

Well you’ve heard the reports this year, that Big Brother isn’t doing as well as it has done in previous years, but is it the housemates or the show itself that’s sent ratings crashing?

Let’s be honest, the inmates this year aren’t quite as mental as they have been in the past, in fact, most of them just seem like fame-hungry wannabe’s than the types of people you’d cross the street to avoid.

I mean where’s the annoying Charlie-alike? Or the nasty Nick Character? Or even the token couple like Mario and Lisa? Nothing, just loads of plain housemates, who, for the most part, are only in their for their looks.

To be honest, I’d rather have a bunch of stereotypically ‘ugly’ people in there if it meant we were going to get some real action rather than watching 12 people preening themselves in the mirrors and setting up fake romances to try and hook in a few extra votes.

I’ve got to admit, I love Big Brother, and I’d love to be a contestant, and as much as it’s awful to say “I wish they’d argue” let’s face it, we’d rather see another Chantelle Vs Charlie Vs Ziggy battle all over again than the housemates only arguing about Halfwit making too much salad.

The only really entertainment is watching Sree piss everyone off by coming onto Noirin and telling her that he’s in love with her, telling Karly she dresses too slutty and generally annoying the lads with his lack of social skills.

Ok so we teased you with some early stills from the New Moon, the second movie in the Twilight saga, as well as an early trailer as excitement around the movie continues to build.

Despite not being released until the end of the year the army of teen fans, mainly of Robert Pattinson let’s face it, are already waiting anxiously for it’s release.

Any prudes better look away now after naked photographs of Madonna looking rather sexual have been released… just as she get’s to take home another new child… what a brilliant role model she is.

Talk about using your fame to get you what you want… Sir Paul McCartney is wanting us all to turn vegetarian one day a week to ’save the planet.’ I don’t think so Paul.

Monday Night was one of the most coveted award ceremonies in the world of rock music, The Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards, and saw everyone who’s anyone turning out to check out the recipients of this year’s gong

Jonathan Ross might has angered the public recently, but it seems he is still good enough to win a prestigious award in recognition of his services to music broadcasting.

I know this summer of movies isn’t over yet but it’s time to fast forward twelve months and see what is going to be invading the big screen in 2010. Now if you don’t like big budget blockbusters stay clear of the cinema as a whole host of them, including Iron Man 2, are on the verge of release, it’s gonna be a corker!
