Eeeeek! Comic Con has strirred up a whole hornets nest of excitement about the movies, in particular the Marvel Comic, movies that are going to be coming our way over the next eighteen months.

And here at FemaleFirst we are particularly excited about the release of Iron Man 2 next summer, Robert Downey Jr what a total legend!

So we have some new images from the movie for you all to take a sneak peak at, roll on next summer.

Denzel Washington is a bit of a busy-body of late what with the Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 and his new movie the Book of Eli.

The movie brings together an impressive cast of Washington and Gary Oldman and Mila Kunis.

“The Book of Eli” revolves around a lone warrior (Washington) who must fight to bring society the knowledge that could be the key to its redemption.

Oldman has been set to portray the despot of a small makeshift town who’s determined to take possession of the book Eli’s guarding.

The gorgeous Ben’s Brother’s is taking over the site today, we’ve got reviews, a competition, exclusive videos, a (jaw-dropping) cover of Lady Gaga’s Poker Face and he’ll be answering all your questions.. if you’re a fan of decent music… this is the only place to be today.

Seems like rehab might not be the best place for drug addicts now that Motley Crue singer Vince Neil insists it never works. But then again they made a box set called Music To Crash Your Car To, so not exactly the best role models..

Megan Fox has denied that there is a rift between her and filmmaker claiming that it’s just the way that they talk to one another. The director told Fox to grow up after she criticised the acting depth of Transformers… I sense a little white lie!

Prince of Persia Pictures July 30, 2009

The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is all set to be one of the big movies of 2010 and will star Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton.

An adaptation of the hit computer game the film follows Dastan (Gyllenhaal) a street urchin in 6th century Persia.

After showing valor in battle, he is adopted by the king as his heir, so the king’s two sons will not fight over the throne.

He teams up with Princess Tamina (Arterton) to rescue the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that controls time, from the hands of the villainous nobleman, Nizam (Sir Ben Kingsley).

Dorian Gray Teaser Trailer July 30, 2009

Alright Ben Barnes fans not long to wait now until Dorian Gray, an adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s novel, hits the big screen.

The movie follows a corrupt young man who keeps his youthful beauty eternally, but a special painting gradually reveals his inner ugliness to all.

Oliver Parker brings together a great cast of Ben Barnes, Colin Firth, Emilia Fox, Ben Chaplin and Rebecca Fox for this adaptation.

The movie is released on the 9th September.

Crikey! Just when you thought Amy Winehouse couldn’t shock us anymore, she’s only claimed that the ghost of Michael Jackson has paid her a visit… Now we don’t want to jump to conclusions and assume she was on some hallucinogenic drug but come on Amy!

Now that Madonna has binned off her toyboy lover, Jesus, it seems that she’s getting sick of the lonely night already and has written a song about Guy Ritchie, describing him as her “eternal love”. Pass me the bucket!

Is Jack Tweed wrong to have had sex with another woman or is it time he moved on from his late wife, Jade Goody? Either way, I know if I was in heaven and my lover moved on before the soil had settled on my grave, there would be some serious haunting going on….

Here we go again with the Katie Price vs. Peter Andre media war of words… now the glamour model is accusing her ex of ending their marriage in a bid to publicise his new album. Errm how can Katie chastise ANYONE for being publicity hungry? I mean let’s face it, she’s not exactly the shy and retiring type now is she?

Shaheen Jafargholi hasn’t half done well for himself recently… singing at Michael Jackson’s tribute and now a support slot with former X Factor winner Leona Lewis, Simon Cowell will be pleased.

With so much bitching and back stabbing going on in Hollywood these days it’s nice to see to actors getting along, of course I’m talking about Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law on the set of their new movie Sherlock Holmes. From sounds of things they got on a little too well… steady on there lads you might give people the wrong impression!

Our celeb best mates Ben’s Brother will be in the office tomorrow, so get all your saucy questions in right now!

New Nightmare On Elm Street Pics July 29, 2009

It seems that Hollywood can’t resist a good old classic horror makeover as Nightmare of Elm Street has been given a face lift.

Gone is Robert Englund and replaced by Jackie Earle Haley, who was brilliant as the slightly creepy Rorschach in Watchmen earlier this year.

And while his performance is still shrouded in shadows, can’t wait to see his face, there is a possibility that this movie could break the remake mould and actually be quite good.

A Nightmare on Elm Street is penned in for a 2010 release.

Jack Tweed Moves On… Goody Or Baddy? July 29, 2009

Jade Goody might have married Jack Tweed in an emotional ceremony just days before her death in March but now that he’s bedded another woman the media is up in arms… are we being over the top?

Obviously mouthpeice Jackiey Budden has been banging on abut how shocked she was when she heard that Jack Tweed had sex with another woman so soon after the death of his wife, her daughter Jade Goody.

And although, in his defence, he did admit to feeling “dirty and sick” after having a drunken one-night stand with glamour model Lisa O’Connor in June – three months after losing his wife – we wonder what is going on in Jack’s head.

Did he just marry Jade because he felt sorry for her or was it true love that was taken away far too early? Either way, I know if I was in heaven and my lover moved on before the soil had settled on my grave, there would be some serious haunting going on….

However, I think the most shocking part was when Jackiey told Closer magazine; “When I first heard he’d slept with someone I thought it was only a week ago and I wasn’t angry because men have needs. But then I discovered it was so soon after the funeral and I was shocked.

“He said he was so drunk he didn’t know what he was doing but I don’t believe that. The last thing he told Jade was that he was going to grow up and not get drunk and be an a***hole, but look what he’s doing.”

Jackiey… ‘men have needs?’ Erm, hello, what do most single men do when they have needs? Usually a bit of a film and a box of Kleenex… which is pretty much the same as women really, but in SUCH a different way…. If someone has justified being unfaithful to you in the past by claiming to have ‘needs’ then you must be off your rocker.

Although Jade made no secrets that she wanted Jack to find love again (something that I clearly wouldn’t do!) I don’t quite think she meant a quickie with a Jordan wannabe after a few swift ones…

But what do you think, is it time Jack moved on or should he stay in mourning for Jade? Either way, someone’s going to be upset… to quote Dido; “Please don’t mourn forever, she’s not coming back”

Maybe Madonna should know better than to misbehave when the cameras or cassettes are rolling and not leave steamy answering machine messages on her lover’s voicemail… not they’re up for sale. Brilliant!

Could it be handbags at dawn after the two most talked about ladies in the news seem to have found something in common… a man. Yes, that’s right, Amy Winehouse has stopped pining after that Blake fellow and got her hands on Mischa Barton’s ex-boyfriend James Regan.

Gary Oldman has confirmed that a third Batman movie will begin shooting next year.The future of the franchise looked uncertian after the success of The Dark Knight after it was believed that Christopher Nolan wouldn’t direct a third instalment. However Oldman didn’t say who will be in the director’s chair.

It’s good blockbuster news all around today as filmmaker Jon Favreau revealed that a third Iron Man movie is in the pipeline, despite the second film still a year from release. It’s nice to see Hollywood not hit too hard my the recession that they can continue to churn out these big bucks movies.

We’ve given you Fightstar, Madina Lake and Steve Appleton, and now it’s the turn of mega-foxy Ben’s Brother to take over FemaleFirst for the day. Tron Legacy at Comic Con July 28, 2009

It’s been major excitement at Comic Con this year mainly because the Tron Legacy promotion bus rolled into town.

Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years.

Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.
