Forgotten Boy Bands of the 90s: Who Was Your Fave in 911?

911 had us all ‘Bodyshakin” in the mid to late 90s but which of the three little northern scamps did you want to give your ‘Private Number’.
L-R: Spike, Lee, Jimmy

Lee Brennan was the popular cute one who fronted the band. He had the trademark lead singer curtian styled hair and cheeky smile. Fainting girls could be seen within a 100ft radius whenever he thrust he crotch during one of their energetic dance routines.

Spike Dawbarn was also quite popular with the fans…mostly for his ‘professional dancer’ credentials and his frequent impromptu somersaults and headspins while on stage. The boy looked like he had worms and was very rarely stood still.

Jimmy Constable was the mandatory boyband odd ball. He seemed older than the others and was what we call ‘one for the mum’s’. He gave the band a bit of normality with rumours that he even had it he had an illegitimate child knocking around somewhere and I’ve actually even spotted him buying groceries in my local shop….nice to see fame didn’t go to his head!

If you are desperate for a fix of 911 after all those years without them…just head down to Butlins where they can regularly be seen performing exactly the same songs and dance routines as they did 10 years ago.

Big Brother: Freddie & Marcus Face Eviction

Oh dear, it looks like Freddie could be back as an eviction regular all of a sudden after he’s angered his fellow housemates so much that they’ve put him up for eviction. Again.

The posh boy – who has survived as a housemate despite being up for eviction almost every week since the show began, – will face off against Wolverine wannabe Marcus Akin on Friday.

Although I find it hard to comprehend how the heck Marcus is still in there, he’s only gone and played the ‘please get me out’ card since finding out he’s up. Yeah, yeah Marcus, we’ve heard that so many times as people try to save face!

What’s more, I bet he’s going to pretend he’s happy that the public have ‘listened to his wishes’ when he gets evicted on Friday…. Errr, no Marcus, it’s just that the nation can’t actually stand you.

But the real question is, HOW THE HELL did Bea avoid being nominated? Especially after the argument she had with Marcus over fags… she was telling Freddie how much she hated Lisa and David and then went crying on their shoulders when it all kicked off… grr! She winds me up!

Where The Wilds Things Are Trailer

December will finally see Where the Wild Things are make it to the big screen, after a string of pushbacks.

Innovative director Spike Jonze collaborates with celebrated author Maurice Sendak to bring one of the most beloved books of all time to the big screen in “Where the Wild Things Are,” a classic story about childhood and the places we go to figure out the world we live in.

The film tells the story of Max, a rambunctious and sensitive boy who feels misunderstood at home and escapes to where the Wild Things are.

Max lands on an island where he meets mysterious and strange creatures whose emotions are as wild and unpredictable as their actions.

The Wild Things desperately long for a leader to guide them, just as Max longs for a kingdom to rule.  When Max is crowned king, he promises to create a place where everyone will be happy.

Max soon finds, though, that ruling his kingdom is not so easy and his relationships there prove to be more complicated than he originally though
