A1 came out around the same time as Westlife, or Westside as they were known back in the day, and were regulars on the Smash Hits Tour scene. Their most famous hit was a cover of Take On Me by A-ha and they also brought out popular slowy Like A Rose….but enough of the music lets get to the nitty gritty of which one of these pop munchkins did you all fancy??

Ben Adams was always the obvious choice with his little curtains hair do and his cute chubby face you just wanted to squeeze. He also did the majority of the singing in the band too and was guaranteed to be greeted with a wave of hysterical screams everytime he went near the mike. We like to call him ‘the bait’…because he reeled in all those horny teenage fans.
Christian Ingebrigtsen was the blonde Norwegian one who ‘thought’ he was the hot one but really he was the random serious foreign member. He took his music far more seriously than his botband status would allow and was often heard saying things like ‘A1 write all their own songs and all play instruments’….come on! We couldn’t of cared less about your musical talents, Christian, we all just wanted you to get your pecs out.
Mark Read was the Tony Mortimer of the group. Girls who wanted more than a pretty face and a hot body fancied him. He was deemed to be the brains of the band and was often pictured sitting knowingly behind a piano…whether he actually played it is another question.
Then there was Paul Marazzi- he was the one who was there for the girls with no self esteem…you know every boyband isn’t complete without one odd looking member. He let the ugly girls thing they had a hope in hell of actually dating a member of A1. All those who claimed their fave was Paul because ‘he seemed to have the nicest personality’- they were lying!
Ahah, funny but far away from the truth!

Of course we care if they produce/work in their songs!
They are not manufactured, they have their own head right where it should be. People shouldn’t judge them just because they were in a so called “boyband” and are pretty.
Now we can say that they make a Real Band, with their grown up sound and musical habilities all out!
And I doubt that if they were all ugly you would say bad things about them!
Did you prefer them to take drugs or depend on alchool to be considered real singers??!
But as they are actually fit and pretty you think that’s all that matter! Deepens your knowledge about them and you’ll know what I’m talking about
And they are back! Check their new songs and you’ll notice the huge difference from the past.

Oh my such a funny description of the Guys,
A1 may have been given the Stigma of the Typical Boyband back in them days.
But after returning with a series of 10yr reunion concerts at the Christianna Theatre in Oslo
Norway in December of 2009..! And having to add futher date’s upon Request..
I was lucky eniugh to go and see them. and have to say the Guy’s Mark-Read (Who has always
been my fave member) Benjamin-Adams and Christian-Ingebrigsten. Make up A1..Who are
Nothing short of being very Proffessional and who give the most amazing flawless performances
They are a bunch of normal Guy’s who just happen to be very talanted Singer’s /Song writers
And i for one wish them all the best of luck..! and well done #A1 on your return in2010 ….

i gotta say my fave has always been Ben but also i live in Mexico and in here we only hear one hit from them that is caught in the middle and i love that song actually i found this looking for that song cause i didn´t remember the same of the band or the song i just remember parts of the video and i just try to find somewhere where it said all the boy bands of the 90´s and luckelly i got here cause i really want to download that song and moore of their music
