New The Soloist Clip

It’s good to see the latest movie from Joe Wright finally make it to the big screen next week in the form of The Soloist.

Robert Downey Jr stars as journalist Steve Lopez who discovers Nathaniel Anthony Ayers (Jamie Foxx), a former classical music prodigy, playing his violin on the streets of L.A.

As Lopez endeavors to help the homeless man find his way back, a unique friendship is formed, one that transforms both their lives.

There are already Oscar whispers surrounding the performances of the two lead actors, it would also be nice to see Wright get some recognition for his work after being overlooked for a best Director nomination for Atonement.

Take a look at an exclusive clip from the movie:

Someone Else Tries To Cash In On Katie Rape Claim

Katie Price’s latest revelation (that she was raped by some fellow celeb) might have been splashed all over the news this week, but it seems one of her old flames is hoping to get some publicity off the back of the mystery.

Whilst we’re all still scratching or heads wondering whether or not this is all some elaborate publicity stunt on behalf of Miss Price, it looks as though ex-boyfriend Warren Furman (Gladiators’ Ace) is keen to stick his oar in, and has claimed today that he fears Katie was raped while the two of them were together but that he failed to see the signs at the time.

Okay, so there might be a whole host of younger, fitter and considerably hotter Gladiators these days, but it doesn’t seem to have stopped ‘Ace’ coming out of the woodwork in a bid to get a bit of the limelight.

Katie was engaged to the TV star during the mid-1990s, and apparently, he started to think she was cheating on him when he discovered a man’s number in her phone, speaking to Heatworld, he said; “He had a notorious reputation in showbiz for being a serious player – a serial shagger, I screamed at her and walked out.”

Obviously now that anyone affiliated with Katie and this alleged rape can be certain of making front page news, we expect to be hearing loads of stories over the speculated rapist.

However, quite why anyone feels the need to discuss such a personal subject in the media glare is beyond me… and shouldn’t Ace be telling the police this and not the national media?

Ruth’s Friday Fancies

Katie Price has added more oil to the cogs in her publicity machine after ‘accidentally’ revealing the name of the man who raped her to the TV crew behind her show, What Katie Did Next.

Gosh, Susan Boyle doesn’t half make me proud to be British… I’ve just seen this video of her on the America’s Got Talent final yesterday night and it brought a tear to my eye.

Does anyone remember that bloke Darnell off Big Brother last year? Well he’s only gone and used his five minutes of fame to try and launch a music career. Personally, with lyrics such as “I rearranged the alphabet and put U and I together” we don’t think Eminem has much to worry about.

We know Lady Gaga is famous for her obscure fashion choices, but she has somehow managed to shock us even further, by revealing that she thinks underwear is pointless. Classy.

Cringe! Diversity might have got talent, but it seems that it’s not always on top form after the dance group dropped their smallest member, Perri Luc Kiely in front of Gordon Brown.

Q Magazine will once again honour some of the biggest names in music on October 26 as they host their annual awards… the nominations have been revealed, but who gets your vote?

Apparently as we progress through the Twilight Saga of movies they are going to become guy friendly, well that’s according to actress Ashley Greene. Now I don’t wish to be funny but this is a love story and no matter how many fight scenes you include, despite them not being in the book, I really don’t hink the guys will be queueing around the block to see their missus drool over Robert Pattinson do you?

Grief is a very powerful emotion and instead of curling up in a ball over the death of his mother filmmaker Brandon Camp channeled all of his energy into writing a movie script. And Love Happens is the product of that grief take a look at the story beind this roance movie.
