Broadway Calls on Leeds Festival

So… festivals are a funny thing. At least to us they are. We’re more at home in a small club or basement.

A house show or a dive bar, playing to friends and having the crowd be louder than we are. You have to be ready for anything at a festival. Lightning storms, sunburns, horrible bands….

It’s expensive, dirty and usually sounds horrible…So what’s the selling point? Why are festivals one of the most exciting parts of the summer? Because of the energy. I’m not saying it’s a better energy than the local pub, but it’s different.

It’s massive. It’s overwhelming, and we’re learning that it can be extremely fun. You get to see a ton of friends, as a band, or as a fan. And instead of taking up a couple hours at night, you spend a day singing along, surviving, and making memories. It’s a mini holiday, so make the best of it! We are…
