Joe McElderry & Dale Winton – Separated At Birth?

Now, I’ve made no effort to hide the fact that I want to see the back of Joe McElderry from the X Factor… but as I was watching cheesy TV re-runs over the weekend, as shock thought hit me – how much do Dale Winton and Joe look alike?

My housemates (and avid Joe lovers) refuse to see the similarities, but you’ve got to admit, it’s bloody hard to miss, and I’m pretty sure people will be mistaking Joe for Dale in 10 years time when he’s doing the welcome meetings at Butlins.

There’s no denying that Lloyd Daniels was the right person to leave the show last night, as Joe, Danyl, Olly and Stacey really do have stronger voices, but please – I urge you people of great Britain – we can’t have Joe making it to the final.

It is getting close to the end now, with only two weeks left to go… so who do you want to win? Now that Jedward are gone I really don’t know… I reckon Danyl’s got the best voice, Olly is the coolest but sounds too much like Will Young and Stacey would mean a girl winning for the third year in a row, so I’d like a boy to take it this year.

Ruth’s Monday Mayhem

Err, is it just me, or anyone totally baffled as to why on earth there’s going to be a Spice Girls musical? now I know they were an iconic band, but ‘Viva Forever’, oh please.

So last week’s ‘Song Of The Week’ saw me embrace my inner RnB queen, but this week I’m stepping going full-circle and getting behind (not literally, obviously) some British folk rockers! Go Mumford & Sons!! Now, I know at first listen you might feel like turning putting your headphones in and listening to Fight For This Love, but trust me, it’s a grower.

The Stig is well known as the fellow with A) the best job on telly, and B) the most well hidden identity in television history, but finally we’ve got five minutes with… guess who…

Ruth’s Sunday Service

I know celebrities hate being papped (well, unless they’re a Z-List star or their name begins with Katie and ends with Price) but Fergie was petrified that someone would catch a glimpse of her as a hooker… oops, too bad Fergie!

Susan Boyle has sparked fears she’s crumbling under the pressures of fame after she broke down in tears following a performance in New York. Oh Su-Bo, we love you, please don’t be sad….

Ruth’s Saturday Sauce

It seems that Katie Price’s relationship with Alex Reid was actually just a rebound flig as she’s been calling her ex, Peter Andre, begging for him to take her back… could we smell a reunion or is Pete better off without her?

Robbie Williams looks as though he has finally curbed his wild ways, after proposing to his long-term girlfriend – live on air! Crikey, I wish I could find a man to give me Public Displays Of Affection.

Ruth’s Friday Formula

Have you SEEN Taylor Lautner on the cover of Rolling Stone? (Well if you haven’t here it is on the right)Phew! That’s hot… but, you know he’s trying to play down those ‘gay’ rumours? Well I’m not quite sure this post is the way to do it…

You might want to sit down for this guys… but Queen of cyber-space slander Courtney Love is at it again, this time by accusing Britney Spears’ dad of all sorts. Have a read of the ‘statement’ and let us know what you think.

No, No, No, No, No! I can’t actually believe what I’m hearing…. Apparently Simon Cowell has decided on the two possible songs which will be released as ‘the winners single’ and guess who sang one of them earlier in the series… only Joe McElderry! I can’t believe it! I mean, what is Simon playing at even if Joe is still the bookies’ favourite to win…God only knows why

Now here’s a story I never thought I’d write… but it looks as though Eminem fancies his chances as an X Factor judge on next year’s show. Apparently the rapper has contact Simon Cowell and offered his services because he feels that Dannii Minogue or Cheryl Cole don’t have enough experience to do the job properly. Ouch!

Courtney Love Makes SHOCKING Allegations Against Britney Spears

Courtney Love is a lady who loves to have a good old rant on the internet, but we’ve got to say, we were gobsmacked to read what she has posted about our favourite pop princess, Britney Spears.

Whilst we’re unsure as to whether or not she actually knew what she was talking about, Courts took to her Facebook page and raged; “Britneys dad molested her, imagine the father that molested you owning you for slavery while your forced to sing songs picked for thier sexual content every night, insane right?

“i have it on First had authority, and fight as hard as she is and does she still didnt pull that card, its a pride thing i can relate to, However they want to play dirty, lets go, Im SO not affraid of the little trolls who hit this when i was f***** up who are called lawyers. lets GO!”

Crikey O’ Reilly, what is she thinking? First of all, shouldn’t she have used spell check before writing something that millions of people are going to see? And secondly how can she say something like this on a social networking site for goodness sake?

In our opinion, Courtney is actually making a pretty serious allegation against the Spears family, and Facebook is NOT the place to publicise something like this, regardless of whether it’s true or not.

Whilst nobody from the Spears camp has commented on this yet, we can’t see this one just ‘blowing over.’ but what do YOU think? Is Courtney totally out of order?

What Do You Make Of Taylor Lautner’s Rolling Stone Cover?

With New Moon making and breaking records around the world, there’s no denying that most of you have made your mind up as to whether you’re on ‘Team Edward’ or ‘Team Jacob’… personally I’m all about Team Ed… simply because R-Patz is a bit of alright… but my colleague is firmly Team Jacob… well, until this morning.

Okay, so she hasn’t really changed ‘sides’ I just wanted to put the idea out there so that she might come around to my way of thinking… but regardless of that, it looks as though Rolling Stone magazine have picked who’s team they’re on, and Taylor Lautner, the prize is yours.

However, whilst I’m considering what ether or not I could actually fancy Taylor, a rather more worrying question has sprung to mind – whether or not this very gay-looking pose was the best choice of cover shot for a man who is being rather coy about his sexuality.

We all know that Rolling Stone was the magazine which saw American Idol star Adam Lambert ‘come out,’ but with all the questions around Taylor’s sexuality flying around the press at the moment, what does the pose say about him?

Ruth’s Thursday Thoughts

Find out what happened when we hung out with Taylor Swift & Justin Bieber at the Manchester Evening News arena… have a sneaky peek at all out pictures whilst you’re at it too!

Apparently Katie Price Dumped Alex Reid because he was planning to propose to her on TV… but now she’s refusing to talk to him until her ITV2 camera crew turns up to film the whole ‘confrontation.’ Talk about pot, kettle & black!

Lady GaGa never fails to give us a good laugh whenever we see snaps of her out in public, especially since her outfits have gone from quirky but cool to just downright odd… and this ensemble is just the latest addition.

As everyone predicted New Moon is set to become one of the biggest movies of the year as fans flocked to cinemas this weekend. But is the movie any good? Of course FemaleFirst is on hand to give you our verdict.

Taylor Lautner has revealed that he was bullied at school because of his love for acting. But it looks like the young star is having the laugh as New Moon has dominated the global box office this week shooting the actor to even greater fame. I bet that those bullies are calling his love of acting now!

The Last Station Trailer

It’s always great to see when a movie puts together a great cast and that is exactly wheat director Michael Hoffman has done with The Last Station.

He has brought together Helen Mirren, Christopher Plummer, James McAvoy and Paul Giamatti in a biopic of Leo Tolstoy.

Set in the last tumultuous years of Leo Tolstoy’s life, the historical biopic centers on the battle for his soul waged by his wife, Sofya Andreyevna, and his leading disciple, Vladimir Cherkov.

Torn between his professed codtrine of poverty and chastity and the reality of his enormous wealth, his thirteen children, and a life of hedonism, Tolstoy makes a dramatic flight from his home.

Too ill to continue beyond the tiny rail station at Astapovo, he believes that he is dying alone, while over one hundred newspapermen camp outside awaiting hourly reports on his condition.

Old Dogs Trailer

There have been some great movie partnerships over the years and John Travolta and robin Williams has the potential to be another as they team up in Old Dogs.

Released next year the pair star as two best friends, one who is unlucky-in-love divorcee and the other a fun-loving bachelor.

But they have their lives turned upside down when they’re unexpectedly charged with the care of 7-year-old twins while on the verge of the biggest business deal of their lives.

The not-so-kid-savvy bachelors stumble in their efforts to take care of the twins, leading to one debacle after another, and perhaps to a new-found understanding of what’s really important in life.
