We all had an inkling that the couple’s romance wouldn’t last long, but from what we’d seen, it looked as though Katie was intent on making this relationship work, so when she plonked herself down in front of Ant & Dec last night and said she wanted to be on her own for a while I almost choked on my crumpet.
She seemed pretty sure that being single was what she wanted, but what we’re all wanting to know in the FF office is whether the ‘rebound’ period is over and she’s seriously missing her ex husband now, especially since she said; “The whole place reminded me of Pete from morning till the moment I went to sleep. Every second it was Pete, Pete, Pete, Pete, Pete.
“Although they were amazing, happy memories, I’d lie there and think those good memories are way gone – but then I was still there with constant reminders of Pete. It was so ironic I had the same bed as last time. I’d wake in the mornings, look over and think, ‘Peter’s going to be there’.
“Then I’d be, ‘Course he’s not going to be there – I’m not with Pete any more’. Pete helped me through it last time. This time no one was there to help. It was cruel to do it to myself, so I just didn’t want to stay.”
Poor old Alex though, as much as we hated his fame leeching ways, we do feel a bit sorry for him after hearing KP going on about the split during last nights ITV show saying; “I’m not with him, no. I cannot live my life by anyone else. The past seven months I’ve acted like a right twit. I’m sorry if I upset people. It made me reflect on things. I’ve come out of here a new person.”
All I can say is I hope Alex kept the receipt for that £20,000 sparkler, he won’t be needing it any time soon… but what do you think about John & Edward replacing Katie Price in the jungle?
