Joe McElderry Has NEVER Heard Killing In The Name Of…!!!

Joe McElderry might think that stating he’s never heard the Rage Against The Machine song that is currently whipping his ass in the charts might make him seem cool, but it’s probably only going to encourage fans to buy more copies of the single to ensure he doesn’t make the Christmas number one.

According to an article on The Sun Online, the Geordie manufactured popstar said that he’d be gutted if he didn’t get the Christmas number one and admitted he hadn’t even heard Rage Against The Machine’s song!

I mean come on mate, play the game, if you’re going to go up in a chart battle you could at least give the band some respect? I bet even my mum has heard the RATM track… and to start acting like you don’t know who they are is just adding fuel to the fire.

Okay, so I bet he’s a really lovely boy and when he appears on The Chris Moyles Show tomorrow he will appeal for people to help him get to number one and so on, but Joe, you have years to get to number one (providing you don’t end up in Butlins) so why not work hard and then feel the benefits rather than just expecting everything at once?

The fact that Joe said he would be gutted if he missed out on the number one spot just goes to show how highly these X Factor kids view themselves… is there no rehearsing in your parent’s garages any more? Sending your tapes off to record labels or handing our free CD’s after gigs? This is no longer about beating the X Factor reign, but about showing that you can’t enter a singing contest and expect to be number one overnight… well, if you want respect that is.

What do YOU think? Does Joe deserve to be number one because he sung a song once a week? Or should it be rage Against The Machine, who have waited for this moment since 1992?

I know which one I’m buying.

Rage Against The Machine Outselling Joe McElderry! Come On!

Joe McElderry can pack his goofy Geordie smile away after Rage Against The Machine are dominating the battle for the Christmas number one!

This Facebook campaign, which has been dubbed ‘Rage Against The (X Factor) Machine’, is determined to see an original and deserving artist taking the number one spot.

The early chart positions show that McElderry’s cover of ‘The Climb’ (which has already been released once this year) has sold less than the US band‘s iconic 1992 single, ‘Killing In The Name Of‘.

One major problem for rock fans however, is the fact that the physical format of McElderry’s single is not released until tomorrow, and this is expected to snatch the lead back for the corporate crooner.

So, do you think RATM can keep the lead, or will Joe smash them to pieces when his single hit’s the shops?

Clash of the Titans Posters

Sam Worthington has been a busy boy of late what with Avatar and Terminator Salvation under his belt. But the new year sees him return to the big screen once again in yet another blockbuster Clash of the Titans.

Yes the 1981 classic has had a 21st Century Hollywood makover with man of the moment Worthington in the central role of Perseus and Louis Leterrier behind the camera.

In “Clash of the Titans,” the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods.

But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld.

With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth.

Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds.

Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

Clash of the titans is going to be super exciting and one of the early have to see movies of 2010 when it’s released in March. So take a look at the first posters for the movie:

Joe McElderry – A Virgin, Straight & Not Looking….

Joe McElderry fans (and my friend Corrina Jean) will be utterly gutted to hear that the little Geordie is planning to put all romances on hold for the time being, especially not Katie Price…

Apparently the X Factor winner was introduced to the ‘glamour’ girl on Sunday night, and whilst there were rumours that she had a bit of a crush on the little lad, he has wisely decided not to go down the Gareth Gates road and lose his virginity to Jordan.

Joseph_Mceldery_01

Obviously this has only fuelled the theories that Joe is as gay as Graham Norton – because I mean, what person with fully working eyes wouldn’t want to sleep with Katie Price? Tee hee hee…

What’s more, Joe went on to admit he’s never actually had a serious girlfriend, saying; “I’m straight. I’ve had girlfriends, but I don’t have one right now. I haven’t slept with anyone, but I’m a young lad and I’m concentrating on my music.”

Bless him… 18 and never been anything more than kissed?! I’m sure there a plenty of girls willing to offer you an, erm, helping hand if you need it…

It looks like Joe won’t be getting the Christmas Number One either…. shame.

Rage Against The Machine Outselling Joe McElderry! Come On!

Ruth’s Tuesday Tiger

Joe McElderry might have won the X Factor last night, which pretty much guarantees him the Christmas Number one… but lurking in the shadows is a band vying for a Merry Christmas of their own… on behalf of all that’s good in music.

On the topic of The X Factor, Stacey Solomon fans are refusing to believe that Stacey finished in third place this weekend simply because she wasn’t as good sa Olly and Joe, but because she was forced to sing with Michael Buble instead of Madonna.

Ok so the search to find the best movies of 2009 is in full swing, and believe me it has been a very tough choice with some great movies this year. In at nine is the best blockbuster of the year Star Trek, which boldly went where no man had gone before all over again.

We are coming close to the end of the decade, doesn’t seem five minutes since we were worrying about the Millennium bug, and in that time we have had some incredible movies. And the year 2000 brought us one such iconic movie in the form of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon which paved the way for the likes of Hero and The House of Flying Daggers.

Calling all lovers of traditional animation today is a day to rejoice as The Princess and the Frog has topped the U.S. box office. We have become used to the CGI fuelled cartoon movies of recent years but the makers of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin have reverted back to the old ways to produce another all singing and all dancing Disney classic.
