Shrek Forever After Trailer

Dreamworks, along with Pixar, are the current giants of the animation world and that’s largely thanks to one particular creation… of course I’m talking about Shrek.

And if you are missing the big green fella from the big screen then fear no longer as Shrek Forever After, the fourth film in hte franchise, is just around the corner.

Yes 2010 sees Shrek, Donkey, Fiona and Puss in Boots return for another adventure, this time in 3D.

Shrek is feeling over-domesticated in the fourth installment. He has lost his roar. It used to send villagers running away in terror. Now they run to him and ask him to sign their pitchforks and torches.

To regain his ogre mojo, he strikes a deal with Rumpelstiltskin. The pact goes awry and Shrek must confront what life would be like in Far Far Away if he had never existed.

That translates into Donkey being forced into cart-pulling duty, fat and lazy Puss in Boots trading his sword for a pink bow and the underhanded Rumpelstiltskin ruling the kingdom.

Up In The Air Trailer

George Clooney”s latest movie Up In The Air is surrounded in Oscar hype and is doing well on the awards circuit, picking up Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations this week.

Clooney stars as Ryan Bingham, a corporate hatchet man who loves his life on the road but is forced to fight for his job when his company downsizes its travel budget.

He is required to spend more time at home just as he is on the cusp of a goal he’s worked toward for years: reaching ten million frequent flyer miles and just after he’s met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams.

The movie is directed by Jason Reitman, the man that brought up Thank You for Smoking and of course Juno. The movie looks set to bag a string of oscars so could geirge walk away with the Best Supporting Actor gong?

When In Rome Trailer

Everyone loves a bit of a rom-com, boy gets girl and all that. And in 2010 kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel join forces for When In Rome.

An ambitious young New Yorker (Kristen Bell), disillusioned with romance, takes a whirlwind trip to Rome where she defiantly plucks magic coins from a “foolish” fountain of love, inexplicably igniting the passion of an odd group of suitors: a sausage magnate (Danny DeVito), a street magician (Jon Heder), an adoring painter (Will Arnett) and a self-admiring model (Dax Shepard).

But when a charming reporter (Josh Duhamel) pursues her with equal zest, how will she know if his love is the real thing?

Rage Against The Machine Slammed By Simon & Cheryl (YAWN!)

Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole are shaking in their highly shined and highly expensive snow-proof shoes this morning as it looks as though Rage Against The Machine could snatch the number one spot from X factor winner Joe McElderry.

So scared of losing out to some decent music in fact, that they have decided to brand the whole RATM Vs. Joe campaign ‘bullying’…

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but this campaign is nothing against Joe himself (as it was set up before the winner was even announced) but against the X Factor winners automatically getting to number one with whatever mediocre single they chose to release off the back of the show.

If Joe McElderry and co think this is bad, then they’ve clearly got a lot to learn about the music business…. No one deserves instant recognition… it’s all about hard work. And singing one or two songs a week over the course of 12 weeks does NOT count as hard work!

So, as Simon rants from his holiday home out in Barbados; “All these musical snobs have ganged up against Joe. If you take me out of the equation, you have a teenager with his first single being attacked by a huge hate mob on Facebook. It almost feels like a little kid being bullied.”

And Cheryl followed suit (obviously, as Girls Aloud were another tv show victor) adding; “I cannot bear to see him [Joe] lose to a mean campaign. If that song, or should I say campaign, by an American group is our Christmas Number One I’ll be gutted for him and our charts.”

Yesterdays late figures showed the RATM was still ahead of Joe, but the gap is closing… so what are we going to do kids? Let the people who think a campaign for some rock music is bullying win?

I bet if it was a Facebook campaign to get the original Miley Cruyus track to number one, it would be a totally different story. After all, pop fans could never be accused of bullying right? Not like us dirty, beer swilling rockers?
