Joe McElderry fans (and my friend Corrina Jean) will be utterly gutted to hear that the little Geordie is planning to put all romances on hold for the time being, especially not Katie Price…

Apparently the X Factor winner was introduced to the ‘glamour’ girl on Sunday night, and whilst there were rumours that she had a bit of a crush on the little lad, he has wisely decided not to go down the Gareth Gates road and lose his virginity to Jordan.

Obviously this has only fuelled the theories that Joe is as gay as Graham Norton – because I mean, what person with fully working eyes wouldn’t want to sleep with Katie Price? Tee hee hee…

What’s more, Joe went on to admit he’s never actually had a serious girlfriend, saying; “I’m straight. I’ve had girlfriends, but I don’t have one right now. I haven’t slept with anyone, but I’m a young lad and I’m concentrating on my music.”

Bless him… 18 and never been anything more than kissed?! I’m sure there a plenty of girls willing to offer you an, erm, helping hand if you need it…

    I think he’s really sweet and a nice guy. So what if he’s gay? But if he says he isn’t, he isn’t. And loads of blokes do not fancy Jordan! Any guy with any sense wouldn’t go there! Good on him, makes a nice change for young lads of 18 to be virgins these days.

    I can’t understand why any intelligent human being would want to sleep with Katie Price – sorry Peter! – I say good on him, he’s obviously not one of those guys. Does it matter that he’s not lost his virginity yet, who cares!! It doesn’t mean he’s gay, and why would it matter if he is.

      Sorry Josef, but I don’t go along with the stupid theory… ‘You have to be a one to know a one’ haha. I’m straight as a dye, and I can’t always tell if someone is gay or straight, and to be honest, why would I want to? BTW, I could definately tell Will Young was gay…. no comparison to Joe.

          Gay people just naturally develop this skill, especially the ones that stay in the closet for ages, because it is the only polite way to tell without asking a guy straight out! Also, it definitely DOES take one to know one, and to think otherwise is totally moronic. Gay people know from their own experiences what it is like to be gay and it’s easy to notice subtle behaviours that most straight people wouldn’t. Straight people obviously don’t need to debate within their head because to them it’s almost definite that a potential partner is straight. So they don’t develop the skill as much.

          It’s not some psychic gift!

          And BTW…. Joe is more than likely to be gay to me….

    Whats the big deal about him being a virgin? I have such respect for him for not having slept with anyone and admitting that he hasn’t. Not all of us are looking for a quick boink, and actually believe sex should mean something. Its very sad to see that being a virgin is so looked down upon now.

    As for Christmas number one? You might want to get your facts right, Killing in the name is leading by about about 6k, remembering that it had one full day of sales before ‘the climb’ was released and that the physical copy of ‘the climb’ isn’t on sale until tomorrow. The race for Christmas number one is very much on and is more in favor of Joe than Rage against the machine.

    First of all, Congratulations Joe! We in Canada think you’re awesome! As far as who Joe is, and what his love life entails it’s HIS business! I think it’s sweet that this young man hasn’t slept around like most guys his age! He seems like a very sensitive young man and his sincerity comes through in his talent! That old douche doesn’t want another Will Young on his hand when he came out soon after “Pop Idol” ended. He even adviced Will to hide his homosexuality of America. Simon wants Joe to succeed in the U.S. and he know if he comes out, he won’t make it. To all you delusional people out there, don’t believe everything you read.

    I am not going to say anything about what I have read or heard because they are probably not true!
    All I am saying is, what would make a difference if Joe is gay it probably wouldn’t effect your life’s in any
    way. Just like Will Young he is a nice bloke, he is gay but to be honest nobody cares. People like them
    for who they are and what they do. Not for what gender they like and if you judge people for that
    then you are really selfish and should get on with your own life instead of worrying about others.
    Overall I think Joe is a lovely guy just like all the other x-factor finalists! :D

    aww i absolutely love him and have the biggest crush on him. I met him at the national televison awards the other night and he gave me a hug;) hes only a year and a bit older than me so im hoping im in there hah. so what if hes a virgin, so am i and im 18 this year.
    i admitt i did think he was gay because of his look and personality, however he could just be in touch with his feminine side. i hope he is straight though for my benefit. but whether he is or not, it shouldn’t be a problem. he seems like such a lovely lad, and has the most incredible voice. i WANT him:)

    He’s such a sweetheart! – I tell you now, he’s an absolute angel who I’d do anything for. Nicest person I’ve ever met :) <3

    I'm sure he's not gay, but if he was, who cares…!? He's a talented, nice, genuine, beautiful and amazing lad!

    It's nice to know Joe hasn't met anyone he wants to sleep with, I mean it shows he's a good guy. At 18, I'd be proud to be him. In fact, i'm proud of him for who he is anyway. He's so sweet, sincere and adorable and this publicity is too focused on things like girlfriends, I'd give everything to a have chance with wee Joe, but why try and make it seem the most important thing.
