Ask Noel Clarke A Question

Respected actor and director Noel Clarke is giving his top tips to rising filmmakers ahead of his next big screen offering 4-3-2-1.

The 35-year-old film maestro has come a long way since his days on Doctor Who as Mickey Smith, with his screenplays Kidulthood and the sequel Adulthood having received critical acclaim.

Last year he received a BAFTA Rising Star award and has worked with BBC Blast on a project to encourage teens to get creative.

He’s now ready to give his top tips to encourage all budding directors or anyone with a video camera to create the next big Ad in this live webTV show.

Noel is involved in the launch of the Doritos ‘King of Ads’ campaign, where budding movie makers and anyone with a great idea, have a chance to make the next TV ad and win up to £200,000 in the process.

The winner will have their advert watched by millions as it airs across British national television from 12th June to 11th July. Not bad for your first commercial!

To find out how to succeed on the small or big screen all you have to do is ask the Bafta winning a question.

New The Last Airbender Trailer

It’s been a while since M.Night Shyamalan sat in the director’s chair after the rather rubbish The Happening.

Well he is back this summer with The Last Airbender, a live-action film adaptation of the first season of the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. In the old days, there was peace between the four nations of the world. The Avatar, Master of all four elements, kept peace between the the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads.

Only the Avatar has the ability to Bend (manipulate) all four elements, but one day, he Vanished. Then the Fire Nation attacked, forcing a war on the other three nations for one hundred years.

Now, for the good of the world, it’s up to 12-year-old Aang (Noah Ringer), the new Avatar, to return peace and balance by putting an end to the war and mastering all four elements.

Aang must accept his destiny by stopping the Fire Nation’s war and defeating the Fire Lord for good.

Leaves Of Glass Trailer

Edward Norton is back on the big screen later this year with his new movie Leaves of Grass.

Despite appearing in a cameo role in The Invention of Lying it’s his first movie since Pride and Glory back in 2008.

When Ivy League classics professor Bill Kincaid receives news of the murder of his estranged identical twin brother, Brady (Edward Norton), in a pot deal gone bad, he leaves the world of Northeastern academia to travel back to his home state of Oklahoma.

Upon arrival, he finds that reports of his brother’s death are greatly exaggerated, and he’s soon caught up in the dangerous and unpredictable world of drug commerce in the backwaters of the Southwest.

In the process, he reconnects with his eccentric mother (Susan Sarandon), meets a wise and educated young woman who has bypassed academia in favor of the gentler rhythms of life (Russell), and unwittingly helps his troubled brother settle a score with a pernicious drug lord (Academy Award® winner Richard Dreyfuss) who uses Tulsa, Oklahoma’s small Jewish community for cover.

Leaves of Grass follows a twisting narrative path merging crime drama, drug comedy, classical philosophy and sudden violence in pursuit of answering one of humanity’s oldest questions: What does it truly mean to live a happy and constructive life?

Cheryl & Ashley Cole : Divorce Looks Likely

With extramarital affairs becoming more prevalent than the common cold lately, the celebrity betting boffins over at Paddy Power have reported “considerable interest” with betting on which celebrity couple will divorce first.

After a week to forget for Ashley Cole its now even more bad news for the beleaguered England defender as Cheryl and Ashley Cole have replaced Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren as the most likely celebrity couple to divorce next. Cheryl and Ashley are now Paddy Power’s red-hot 6/5 favourites with Tiger and Elin drifting to 15/8 second-favourites.

Ex-England skipper John Terry and wife Toni Poole seem increasingly less likely to win this particular dubious honour and have been pushed out to 4/1 third-favourites ahead of newly-weds Katie Price and Alex Reid at 7/1 and Vernon Kay & Tess Daly at 8/1.

Paddy Power said “Despite her lyrics I don’t think Cheryl is in any mood to fight for her love right now. It looks like Ashley’s recent extra-curricular activities could be the straw that broke the camels back”

Who will Divorce first?

6/5    Cheryl & Ashley Cole
15/8   Tiger Woods & Elin Nordegren
4/1     John Terry & Toni Poole
7/1     Katie Price & Alex Reid
8/1     Vernon Kay & Tess Daly
12/1   Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt
40/1   Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes
50/1   Catherine Zeta Jones & Michael Douglas
100/1 Ozzy Osbourne & Sharon Osborne

Centurion Trailer

Centurion brings together a great cast of Michael Fassbender, Olga Kurylenko, Dominic West and Noel Clarke and sees Neil Marshall return to the director’s chair.

Based on the legend of the Ninth Legion, an army of 3000 unstoppable Roman warriors who vanished without trace, Centurion is the tale of their vicious conflict with a murderous adversary, the Picts.

Quintus Dias (Fassbender), a Roman corporal, is taken hostage by the Pict King, Gorlacon and the Ninth are charged with bringing him home and ending Pict domination of Britain.

Led by General Virilus (West) and guided by a Pict prisoner and warrior woman named Etain (Kurylenko), the army marches towards enemy territory and finds itself in the midst of a perilous battle with a mysterious foe.

Get Him To The Greek Trailer

Get Him To The Greek sees Russell Brand team up with Jonah Hill.

Aaron Green (Hill) gets things done. The ambitious 23-year-old has exaggerated his way into a dream job just in time for a career-making assignment.

His mission: Fly to London and escort a rock god to L.A.’s Greek Theatre for the first-stop on a $100-million tour. His warning: Turn your back on him at your own peril.

British rocker Aldous Snow (Brand) is both a brilliant musician and walking sex. Weary of yes men and piles of money, the former front man is searching for the meaning of life.

But that doesn’t mean he can’t have a few orgies while he finds it. When he learns his true love is in California, Aldous makes it his quest to win her back… right before kick-starting his world domination.

As the countdown to the concert begins, one intern must navigate a minefield of London drug smuggles, New York City brawls and Vegas lap dances to deliver his charge safe and, sort of, sound.

He may have to coax, lie to, enable and party with Aldous, but Aaron will get him to the Greek.

Ruth’s Monday Mix Up

Is it just me, or does Rihanna seem to be trying her best to turn into Lady GaGa at the moment? First she starts singing about stuff which make no sense at all (have you HEARD the Rude Boy lyrics?) and going for the ‘got dressed in the dark’ look.

Emily Blunt is quickly becoming one of the best British actresses currently working in Hollywood and she’s back on the screen this weekend with The Wolfman. This horror movie is quite a departure from her breakthrough comedy role in The Devil Wears Prada proving she’s not just a one trick pony!

Everyone enjoys a good rom-com, well I know I do, and there is a great one on the horizon in the form of Leap Year. The film stars Amy Adams as she travels to Dublin to propose to her fella, only to meet the rather dashing Matthew Goode along the way. So in true FemaleFirst fashion we have a trailer for you to take a little peak at
