Kids In Glass Houses Blog About Shoes!

Pointed or rounded – Aled discusses:

I think rounded have kind of taken over from the pointed trend now, I think pointed is a bit done now, I still like them but I think rounded will be pushing them out. If you want to buy you man shoes though, it’s all about brogues and Doc Martins, boots are good though.

In fact get amongst some military boots – like the German army boots… All Saints (the shop, not the girl band) started the trend and they cost £175. I broke my zip which is a real pain.

It’s all about the heels now too, don’t worry, im not saying get some stilettos, we’re talking about 1.5 inches just enough to give you a cheeky lift, and then a quiff on the top. It’s like the Wonderbra of the foot.

We’ve got to tackle trainers though, if I was to go for trainers, I’d go for Vans or vintage Nikes. Vans are classic clobber, I once had some converse so fair play to Fearne Cotton for bringing them back. I tend to stick to black white or cream in converse though.

Finally gotta write about slippers…  I’ve got a classic Suede slipper with a lace, in the band we like the slippers you can wear outside as they‘re pretty durable, I hate when you pop out and they get all wet.  And they have to be a full shoe, I cant really rock the slip on ones because they fall off when I’m going upstairs and all hell breaks loose…

How do you wear yours?

Full Despicable Me Trailer

2010 looks set to be another great year for animation, as How To Train Your Dragon sits at the top of the U.S. box office and Shrek is on the horizon.

And Despicable Me is another movie to add to the list, the latest project from Universal Pictures.

In a happy suburban neighbourhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbours, hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout.

Surrounded by a small army of minions, we discover Gru (voiced by Steve Carell), planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon. (Yes, the moon!) Gru delights in all things wicked.

Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way.

Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad.

The world’s greatest villain has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.

But we do have a while to wait for the movie as it won’t hit the big screen until October.

New The Last Airbender Trailer

The Last Airbender sees a return to the big screen for M.Night Shyamalan.

After a couple of poor movies from the director he will be hoping for success with his latest offering, an adaptation of the hit television series.

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. In the old days, there was peace between the four nations of the world. The Avatar — Master of all four elements — kept peace between the the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads.

Only the Avatar has the ability to Bend (manipulate) all four elements, but one day, he Vanished.

Then the Fire Nation attacked, forcing a war on the other three nations for one hundred years.

Now, for the good of the world, it’s up to 12-year-old Aang (Noah Ringer), the new Avatar, and the last of the Air Nomads (Airbenders), to return peace and balance by putting an end to the war and mastering all four elements.

Aang must accept his destiny by stopping the Fire Nation’s war and defeating the Fire Lord for good.

Starring: Noah Ringer, Dev Patel and Jackson Rathbone the movie will hit cinema screens in August.

Kids In Glass Houses Talk Mondays…

Kids In Glass Houses might be gorgeous AND releasing their new album today, but they’re also hanging out in the FemaleFirst office as they take over the site… (see the gorgeous picture above) keep your eyes peeled from 11am to see what they get up to!

In the latest batch of ‘comeback PR’ Christina Aguilera has now unveiled the cover for her new album, and we have to admit, it’s rather, umm, interesting….?

Sandra Bullock has been backed to play Wonder Woman by Lynda Carter. A bevvy of young actresses such as Megan Fox have been linked with a role but it would be great to sees an older actress bag the role!

Hard to believe that they have squeezed a fourth movie out of the Shrek franchise but they have as Shrek Forever After is released in May. Take a look at the first set of posters for the film.
