Splice Images

Splice looks set to be one of the more interesting movies to be released in the coming weeks, it’s also a return to the big screen for Oscar winner Adrian Brody.

Clive and Elsa are superstars of the genetic engineering world. They specialise in splicing together DNA from different animals to create fantastical new hybrids.

The charismatic couple wants to use human DNA in a new hybrid – something that could yield astronomical medical benefits.

The pharmaceutical company that funds their research, however, is more interested in exploiting their earlier triumphs for easier, short-term profit.

Clive and Elsa secretly conduct their own experiment. The result is Dren: an amazing creature who exhibits an array of unexpected developments, both physical and intellectual.

Dren exceeds their wildest dreams… and, ultimately, their most terrifying nightmare.

Solitary Man Trailer

For any Michael Douglas fans who were eagerly awaiting the release of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps will be disappointed to know that it has been pushed back until December.

But do not fear Douglas’ new movie Solitary Man is not too far away, which sees the Oscar winner team up with Jesse Eisenberg.

A once successful Manhattan mogul who owned a chain of car dealerships finds himself on the brink of a fantastic comeback.

His marriage and businesses were lost to him through a series of indiscretions of romantic and financial natures.

His new girlfriend has a father that is offering him a second lease on life, but the one catch is he has to take his girlfriend’s daughter on a weekend college visit where he absolutely must behave himself or lose everything

Iron Man 2 Widget

I appreciate that I’m harping on a bit about the new Iron Man 2 movie but we have a lovely little widget for you to take a look at.

Iron Man 2 comes two years after the success of the first movie and is the film that will kick off the blockbuster summer season.

Robert Downey Jr is back in the tin suit and is joined by Don Cheadle, yes we are going to get a first look at War Machine… so exciting!

Also on the cast list is Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell.

The countdown to Iron Man 2 begins as it’s released at the end of the month:

Another Date Night Clip

Date Night has topped the American box office and will finally be hitting big screens here in the UK this week, and we have a new clip for you to feast your eyes on.

Date Night is the latest movie from Shawn Levy, from Night At The Museum fame, and brings together Tina Fey and Steve Carell, as well as a hilarious cameo from Mark Wahlberg.

Claire and Phil Foster (Tina Fey and Steve Carell) are a typical suburban couple whose lives, including their weekly date nights of dinner and a movie, have become routine.

To reignite the marital spark, they visit a trendy Manhattan bistro where a case of mistaken identity turns their evening into the ultimate date night-gone-awry.

But as Claire and Phil take their unexpected walk on the wild side, they begin to remember what made them so special together.

Ruth’s Wednesday Waffle

We think that Katie Price might be pregnant! Okay, it’s not confirmed, but she has been banging on about trying to conceive for like, FOREVER, and she’s just been ‘advised’ to pull out of the London Marathon… we see babies!

It’s no secret that I’m not a fan of Joe McElderry, but that said, I watched this video and smiled. Not at the overly camp hand gestures, or the fact that he’s reading the words off his laptop. Simply because it’s good. Oh, and it’s got Olly Murs in it.

It’s Official ; Lee Ryan’s comeback is upon us (sadly that doesn’t mean Lee himself) and we can check out his new video for Secret Love in all it’s glory.

At long last, Gavin Henson has popped the question to his rather patient missus, Charlotte Church and they’re to be wed!
