More Iron Man 2 Clips

Iron Man 2 makes it to the big screen this week as Robert Downey Jr returns to the role of Tony Stark.

And if you can’t wait until the end of the week to clap your eyes on the movie, in true FemaleFirst fashion, we have a couple of lovely clips for you.

After confessing his identity as Iron Man to the world, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) comes under fire from the United States Government who demand he hand over the powerful weapon that is the Iron Man suit.

As the Government attempts to create a duplicate suit with the assistance of Stark’s rival, Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell), Tony’s long time friend Jim Rhodes (Don Cheadle) is put center stage in the conflict.

Meanwhile, a mysterious and dangerous foe emerges in Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke), who creates an alternate and powerful persona known as Whiplash in order to exact revenge on the Stark family once and for all… it isn’t long before he unites with Hammer in an effort to destroy Iron Man.

With the arrival of his shady new assistant (Scarlett Johansson), and persistent recruitment attempts from S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Stark needs all the help he can get in order to overcome the obstacles.

Take a look at a couple of clips from the movie:

Prince of Persia Images

Now I know that compter game movie adaptations have not had the best time at the box office in recent years but I must admit that Prince of Persia looks like it could buck that trend.

Yes I must admit that I’m quite looking forward to it, and no it has got nothing to do with a rather buff looking Jake Gyllenhaal!

Mike Newell is behind the camera and Gyllenhaal joins forces with Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley, Alfred Molina and Toby Kebbell.

Set in medieval Persia, the story of an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.

Which is why after the prince was tricked by a dying Vizier to unleash the Sands of Time that turns out to destroy a kingdom and transforms its populace into ferocious demons.

In his effort to save his own kingdom and redeem his fatal mistake, it’s up to the prince and the princess to return the sands to the hourglass by using the Dagger of Time, which also gives him a limited control over the flow of time.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is released 28th May. Take a look at the images from the movie:

New Toy Story 3 Trailer

2010 would not be complete without a Pixar movie gracing the big screen having enjoyed Up and Wall-E in recent years.

And, as you might expect, they have obliged as Toy Story 3 makes it to the big screen this summer, reuniting Tom Hanks with Tim Allen as they return to the characters of Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

Lee Unkrich is behind the camera this time around as the toys find themselves on yet another adventure.

Toy Story 3 welcomes Woody , Buzz and the whole gang back to the big screen as Andy prepares to depart for college and his loyal toys find themselves in … daycare!

These untamed tots with sticky little fingers do not play nice, so it’s all for one and one for all as plans for the great Escape get underway.

A few new faces – some plastic, some plush – join the adventure, including Barbie’s counterpart Ken (Michael Keaton), a thespian hedgehog called Mr Pricklepants (Timothy Dalton) and a pink, strawberry scented bear called Lots -o-Huggin Bear (Ned Beatty).

Toy Storu 3 is released 23rd July. Take a look at the trailer that’s exclusive to the internet:

John Rabe Trailer

War movies always evoke some of the strongest emotions as they depict stories of courage, struggle and survival.

And Oscar winning director Florian Gallenberger’s new movie John Rabe looks set to be no different as the true story of this brave man is brought to the big screen.

Based on a true story, John Rabe tells the story of a German businessman who rescued more than 200,000 civilians during the so-called ‘Nanking Massacre’ in China.

Drawing from John Rabe’s 1937 diaries as source material, Academy Award Winner Florian Gallenberger has crafted a portrait of a man revered as a saint in China to this day and yet never rewarded for his courage during his lifetime.

The movie brings tgether a cast that includes Ulrich Tukur, Daniel Brühl, Steve Buscemi and Anne Consigny.

New Jonah Hex Poster

To say that things have been a little quiet on the Jonah Hex front would be a little bit of an understatement, which is never a good sign.

Directed by Jimmy Hayward the movie brings together a great cast of Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, John Malkovich and Michael Fassbender.

Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) is a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort, a tough and stoic gunslinger who can track down anyone… and anything.

having survived death, Jonah’s violent history is steeped in myth and egend and has left him with one foot in the natural world and one on the ‘other side’.

His only human connection is with Lilah (Megan Fox), whose life in a brothel has left her with scars of her own.

But Jonah’s past is about to catch up with him when the U.S. military makes him an offer he can’t refuse: in exchange dor his freedom from the warrants on his head he must track down and stop the dangerous terrorist Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich).

But Turnbull, who is gathering an army and preparing to unleash Hell, is also Jonah’s oldes enemy and will stop and nothing until Jonah is dead.

But the new poster for the movie is here… take a look:

Ruth’s Wednesday Wave

Lindsay Lohan’s personal life has taken another beating today after she and her sister are seeking a restraining order against their father. It’s all drama, drama, drama with her isn’t it?

Amy Winehouse has made a show of herself once again after toppling over after a few too many drinks and running around topless in a clinic. Well, I guess it is one way to make sure you get seen by a doctor.

Emily Blunt has admitted that she turned down the role of Peggy Carter in Captain America because she didn’t want to commit to a franchise. One movie every couple of years is not a huge chunk of time now is it!

For all the Bond fans who are worried we may not be seeing 007 on the big screen for a while Danny Dyer believes he has come up with the solution. Yes the cockney actor is offering to take over the role of Bond on the cheap… for just £200 a week, what a bargain!
