Now I don’t mean to be cinical but who things that Secretariat stars are possibly thinking about Oscar nominations?
Starring Diane Lane and John Malkovich, and I must admit I’m big fans of both, the movie follows the real life story of Penny Chenery, the Acadmey is a sucker for a biopic pic, who won the triple Crown in 1973.
Housewife and mother Penny Chenery agrees to take over her ailing father’s Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge.
Against all odds, Chenery — with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich) — manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years.
