Despicable Me Images

With How To Train Your Dragon, Shrek Forever After and Toy Story 3 it’s already been a great year for animation movies and it looks like Despicable Me will add to that when it reaches cinemas later this year.

In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn.

Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by a small army of minions, we discover Gru planning the biggest heist in the history of the world.

He is going to steal the moon, yes, the moon. Gru delights in all things wicked. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way.

Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad.

The world’s greatest villain has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agne.

Boasting the voice talent of Russell Brand, Jason Segal, Steve Carell and Julie Andrews, Despicable Me is released 15th October. Take a look at some images from the film:

More Inception Images

Not long to wait now until Inception hits the big screen  – and it promises to be one of the movie events of the summer, I for one cannot wait!

It’s always great to see Christopher Nolan in the directors chair as he delivers entertaining yet interesting movies, if you haven’t seen The Prestige then it really is worth a watch.

Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state when the mind is at its most vulnerable.

Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved.

Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible — inception.

Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one.

If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Inception finally reaches cinemas 16th July. Take a look at some more images from the film:

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore Featurette

In the age-old battle between cats and dogs, one crazed feline has taken things a paw too far.

Kitty Galore, formerly an agent for cat spy organization MEOWS, has gone rogue and hatched a diabolical plan to not only bring her canine enemies to heel, but take down her former kitty comrades and make the world her scratching post.

Faced with this unprecedented threat, cats and dogs will be forced to join forces for the first time in history in an unlikely alliance to save themselves – and their humans – in “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore,” a comedy that blends live action with state-of-the-art puppetry and computer animation. It’s time for the fur to fly.

Paranormal Activity 2 Teaser Trailer

Sorry to all the fans that enjoyed Paranormal Activity last year but it really was one of the worst movies of 2009! If you are going to make a horror movie then at least make it scary.

Some of the people in the screening of the movie I saw were screaming and hiding where I was fighting off the ugre to fall asleep and was extremely disappointed by it all when the credits rolled.

Despite this the movie was both a critical and commercial success and now a sequel is being forced upon us and will be in cinemas later this year.

While a plot is yet to be revealed I imagine that it will be more of the same, I really can’t wait! But for those of you who are super excited by the prospect of a second movie we have a teaser trailer for you to feast your eyes on.

Shrek Forever After finally graces the big screen this week after enjoying huge box office success in both America and Australia, topping the movie charts.

After challenging an evil dragon, rescuing a beautiful princess and saving your in-laws’ kingdom, what’s an ogre to do? Well, if you’re Shrek, you suddenly wind up a domesticated family man.

Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, a reluctant Shrek now agrees to autograph pitch forks. Whats happened to this ogre’s roar? Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre,” Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Trailer

Meet the kid who made ‘wimpy’ cool, in a family comedy motion picture based on the best-selling illustrated novel Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney, the first in a series that has thus far sold 28 million books.

Diary of A Wimpy Kid chronicles the adventures of wisecracking pre-teen Greg Heffley, who must somehow survive the scariest time of anyone’s life, middle school.

To Greg Heffley, middle school is the dumbest idea ever invented. It’s a place rigged with hundreds of social landmines, not the least of which are morons, wedgies, swirlies, bullies, lunchtime banishment to the cafeteria floor and a festering piece of cheese with nuclear cooties.

To survive the never-ending ordeal and attain the recognition and status he feels he so richly deserves, Greg devises an endless series of can’t-miss schemes, all of which, of course, go awry.

And he’s getting it all down on paper, via a diary… ‘it’s NOT a diary, it’s a journal!’

Greg insists, preferring the less-sissyfied designation filled with his opinions, thoughts, tales of family trials and tribulations, and (would-be) schoolyard triumphs.

‘One day when I’m famous,’ writes Greg, ‘I’ll have better things to do than answer peoples’ stupid questions all day.’ So was born the Wimpy Kid’s diary.

The Social Network Teaser Trailer

It would be easier to count the number of people who haven’t got Facebook than the number who have as the soical networking site has swept the globe.

Now it’s all very well Facebook being this huge site that absolutely everyone is part of but making a movie about it does seem to be a little over the top, but they have!

Writer/producer Aaron Sorkin announced on his Facebook page that he is going to be writing a movie about the popular social networking site.

Mark Zuckerberg created the site in 2004 at Harvard during his sophomore year. It now has over 400 million members worldwide.

Eisenberg will play Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg; Timberlake will play Sean Parker, the Napster co-founder who became Facebook’s founding president; and Andrew Garfield will play Eduardo Saverin, the Facebook co-founder who fell out with Zuckerberg over money.
