Now it’s fair to say that M.Night Shyamalan has made a couple of dud movies over the last few years, sadly none of his work has lived up to The Sixth Sense; although I am a fan of Signs.

Anyway he looks to redeem himself this summer as he brings The Last Airbender, based on a popular TV series to the big screen. The movie intriduces us to Noah Ringer, who plays the central role, and he is joined by Dav Patel, who we haven’t seen since Slumdog Millionaire and Twilight’s Jackson Rathbone.

Air, Water, Earth, Fire. Four nations tied by destiny when the Fire Nation launches a brutal war against the others. A century has passed with no hope in sight to change the path of this destruction.

Caught between combat and courage, Aang (Noah Ringer) discovers he is the lone Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements.

Aang teams with Katara (Nicola Peltz), a Waterbender, and her brother, Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), to restore balance to their war-torn world.

The Last Airbender is released 13th August. Take a look at some images from the movie:

OMG!!!! This movie is very disappointing!!! I felt as though I only watched 30 minutes of the film before
it came to an abrupt ending!!!! I hope the sequel is worth the time and money!!!! Loved the thought of the movie, but seeing it in motion picture totally sucks….

I saw the movie recently and i have to say I really enjoyed. Of course there was some things different even left out of the movie, but overall I’d call it an honest and true attempt at bringing the world of avatar to life. So I have to say hats off to director M. Night Shamaylan, you did very great work for your effort. I’m sure it will be met with a lot of negative criticism, but I can promise you I will look for your next film.

This film was awful! I saw it the other day and I have never wanted my money back so badly! The cartoon is a fantastic piece of work and certainly deserves it’s huge following but the film is abysmal! Of all the leads, there is only one minority and that person is the villain. I am shocked that this amazing cartoon that was centered around Asian characters was whitewashed with a few minorities thrown in the background to establish a veneer of multiculturalism!

Unless major changes are made to the following films in the series, I will not pay one cent to see it in theaters!
