Ruth’s Saturday Sauce

Derek Hough, the best friend/boyfriend of Cheryl Cole (depending on what magazine you buy) has apparently been very “hands on” in Cheryl’s road to recovery… ooh, err!

speaking of Cheryl, Dale Winton lookalike and X Factor wannabe Joe McElderry is desperately trying to nick some of Olly Murs glory by announcing he’s prancing about in the studio in the hope of making a little album.

Exclusive Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Images

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is the latest novel to be adapted to the big screen as Jeff Kinney’s illustrated series of novels gets the Hollywood movie makeover.

To Greg Heffley, middle school is the dumbest idea ever invented. It’s a place rigged with hundreds of social landmines, not the least of which are morons, wedgies, swirlies, bullies, lunchtime banishment to the cafeteria floor – and a festering piece of cheese with nuclear cooties.

To survive the never-ending ordeal and attain the recognition and status he feels he so richly deserves, Greg devises an endless series of can’t-miss schemes, all of which, of course, go awry.

And he’s getting it all down on paper, via a diary – “it’s NOT a diary, it’s a journal!” Greg insists, preferring the less-sissyfied designation – filled with his opinions, thoughts, tales of family trials and tribulations, and (would-be) schoolyard triumphs.

“One day when I’m famous,” writes Greg, “I’ll have better things to do than answer peoples’ stupid questions all day.” So was born the Wimpy Kid’s diary.

Diary of A Wimpy Kid is released 25th August and we have some exclusive images for you to feast your eyes on:

New Expendables Clips

You have got to love a bit of Sylvester Stallone right? He’s back on the big screen next month with his new movie The Expendables, which brings together a rather impressive cast.

Yes Stallone, who also directs the movie, is joined by Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger who, quite frankly, are all there to kick some butt!

Barney Ross (Stallone) is a man with nothing to lose. Fearless and void of emotion, he is the leader, the sage and the strategist of this tight-knit band of men who live on the fringe.

His only attachment is to his pickup truck, his seaplane and his team of loyal modern-day warriors. His is a true cynic who describes what he does as “removing those hard to get at stains.”

The team behind him is made up of Lee Christmas (Statham), former SAS and a savant with anything that has a blade; Yin Yang (Li), a master at close-quarter combat; Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), who has known Barney for ten years and is a long-barrel weapons specialist; Toll Road (Randy Couture), a skilled demolitions expert and considered the intellect of the group; and Gunnar Jensen (Lundgren), a combat veteran and an expert in precision sniping who struggles with his own demons.

When the mysterious Church offers Barney a job no one else would take, Barney and his team embark on what appears to be a routine mission: overthrow General Gaza (David Zayas), the murderous dictator of the small island country of Vilena and end the years of death and destruction inflicted on its people.

On a reconnaissance mission to Vilena, Barney and Christmas meet their contact Sandra (Giselle Itie), a local freedom-fighter with a dark secret.

They also come to learn who their true enemy is: rogue ex-CIA operative James Monroe (Eric Roberts) and his henchman Paine (Steve Austin).

When things go terribly wrong, Barney and Christmas are forced to leave Sandra behind, essentially giving her a death sentence.

Haunted by this failure, Barney convinces the team to return to Vilena to rescue the hostage and finish the job he started. And to perhaps save a soul: his own.

The Expendables is released 19th August. Take a look at some new clips from the movie:

Scott Pilgrim vs The World Clips

Meet charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). A bass guitarist for garage band Sex Bob-omb, the 22-year-old has just met the girl of his dreams, literally.

The only catch to winning Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)? Her seven evil exes are coming to kill him. Genre-smashing filmmaker Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) tells the amazing story of one romantic slacker’s quest to power up with love in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It’s getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart’s ass – and now is back in town – to the teenage distraction he’s trying to shake when Ramona rollerblades into his world, love hasn’t been easy.

He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.

As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues’ gallery from her past from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsome identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.

Never Let Me Go Poster

In his highly acclaimed novel Never Let Me Go, Kazuo Ishiguro created a remarkable story of love, loss and hidden truths.

In it he posed the fundamental question: What makes us human? Now director Mark Romanek (“One Hour Photo”), writer Alex Garland and DNA Films bring Ishiguro’s hauntingly poignant and emotional story to the screen.

Kathy (Carey Mulligan), Tommy (Andrew Garfield) and Ruth (Keira Knightley) live in a world and a time that feel familiar to us, but are not quite like anything we know.

They spend their childhood at Hailsham, a seemingly idyllic English boarding school.

When they leave the shelter of the school and the terrible truth of their fate is revealed to them, they must also confront the deep feelings of love, jealousy and betrayal that threaten to pull them apart.

Angelina Jolie’s Naughty Photos

Angelina Jolie will be busy rallying the lawyers today after a woman who knew the superstar actress back in her hell-raising drug user days has sold a set of eight graphic photographs to an American magazine which allegedly shows the Oscar-winning actress in a series of compromising situations.

[picappgallerysingle id="901761"]

We all know Ange was a bit bonkers back in the day (which is why I love her so much – regardless of what you might think of her) and it’s thought that in one of the pictures, she has black tape over her nipples and a dog leash around her neck whilst others show her during a 14-hour heroin-smoking session.

“The photographs are a startling reminder to Angelina of a period in her life I’m sure she wants to forget, a shady piece of her history that she’s kept hidden away, even from Brad,” said Angelina’s biographer.

What a shame that Angelina’s old ‘friends’ are so desperate to make cash off her?
