More Knight & Day Clips

Knight and Day has performed a little disappointingly in the U.S. but the film, which reunites Tom Cruise with Cameron Diaz, hits UK cinemas this week.

Directed by James Mangold, who brought us Walk The Line and 3:10 To Yuma, the movie follows June Havens who finds her everyday life tangled with that of a secret agent who has realized he isn’t supposed to survive his latest mission.

As their campaign to stay alive stretches across the globe, they soon learn that all they can count on is each other.

Cruise and Diaz are joined by an all star cast of Peter Sarsgaard, Viola Davis, Maggie Grace and Paul Dano.

The movie is released on 6th August but here are a couple of clips to feast your eyes on:

The American Images

In recent year George Clooney has put out some cracking movies Michael Clayton and Up In The Air being two fine examples, that have really showed off his acting ability.

And he is back in front of the camera later this year with his new movie The American, which may just bag him another Oscar nomination, God I can’t believe I’m talking about the Oscars already!

Alone among assassins, Jack is a master craftsman. When a job in Sweden ends more harshly than expected for this American abroad, he vows to his contact Larry that his next assignment will be his last.

Jack reports to the Italian countryside, where he holes up in a small town and relishes being away from death for a spell. The assignment, as specified by a Belgian woman, Mathilde, is in the offing as a weapon is constructed.

Surprising himself, Jack seeks out the friendship of local priest Father Benedetto and pursues romance with local woman Clara. But by stepping out of the shadows, Jack may be tempting fate.

The Other Guys Interview

The Other Guys looks set to be one of the funniest films of the Autumn when it is finally released in Spetember, we really have been missing laughs in movies this summer!

Director Adam Mckay, the man behind Anchorman, reunites with Will Ferrell and brings together an all star cast of Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne Johnson and Eva Mendes.

NYPD Detectives Christopher Danson and P.K. Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson) are the baddest and most beloved cops in New York City. They don’t get tattoos – other men get tattoos of them.

Two desks over and one back, sit Detectives Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg). You’ve seen them in the background of photos of Danson and Highsmith, out of focus and eyes closed.

They’re not heroes – they’re “the Other Guys.” But every cop has his or her day and soon Gamble and Hoitz stumble into a seemingly innocuous case no other detective wants to touch that could turn into New York City’s biggest crime. It’s the opportunity of their lives, but do these guys have the right stuff?

The Other Guys is released 3rd September. Will, Mark and Eva chat about the movie, take a look:

Ruth’s Raunchy Wednesday

If Lindsay Lohan thought a jail term would ruin her career (probably not TBF) it looks as though she has nothing to worry about as Dancing With The Stars want her for the new series. Wow, they must be REALLY short of talent.

Lady GaGa actually made me want to bash my head on the desk repeatedly this morning – she’s only gone and announced that she reckons sex will result in people stealing creativity from her vagina. Lovely.

Justin Bieber might have only been famous for about five minutes, but it’s not stopped him signing a movie deal to take his life story to the big screen. Erm, wait just a moment… how can someone kid of like, eight year old have enough of a life to write a book?

Alesha Dixon is going to be taking over the FemaleFirst office on Monday 6 September and we want YOU to be a part of it… head over to the site to submit your questions for Alesha and to find out how to get involved!
