Matt’s Shiner on life Monday

I see the Rooney’s are trying to get back together once again under the glare of media attention… The paps are trying to justify there constant attention by saying ‘if he advertises bla de bla brand and sells his wedding photos to the papers they have every right to do what they want, ably backed up by that famous and highly successful footballer Kevin Kegan. What absolute bo***cks. Just because the guy does a job doesn’t give them any rights to judge pontificate and slobber all over his private affairs.

Now we also have the prostitute from the States allegedly counter suing the legend that is David Beckham for interfering with her freedom of speech. Her lawyer says how they prize their freedom of speech in America and she should be able to accuse and slur whoever whenever she wants and if the injured party objects they are ‘interfering’ with a person freedom of speech…., it stands believing. But the IRS are after her regarding her tax declarations, and the little matter of not having a work permit… still she has her freedom of speech. We are behind you David hope you stuff them. Oh and this is my opinion and freedom of speech

But to lives most important Cheryl Cole axing Gamu Nhengu in favour of Katie Waissel and Cher Lloyd.. well what can you say but actually is it just part of the publicity machine as surprise, surprise, each of the judges will get to pick a wild card…. never saw that one coming, honestly Simon do you think we are that naive. Who will Si choose.. Husstle, Louis seemed happy with his three and Dannii withe her three. Here’s an idea why not get each judge to pick a wildcard for one of the other categories – now that would be interesting.

Kate Price Vs. Peter Andre (Again) Whose Side Are You On?

The Katie Price and Peter Andre war is back on, this time with Peter suing his ex wife for slander and libel. Oh, and according to the News Of The World, Pete is also planning to reveal the real reason why he split from Katie.

Quite why they can’t just let it go by now is beyond me, but the pair are still very much at loggerheads, with one source claiming that; “It’s going to get very messy and very personal,” as both try to defend their reputations.

Peter is sick of Katie claiming he cheated on her and so he’s not only looking for damages, but also wants to take out an injunction against the former glamour girl. Obviously Katie isn’t going to take it lying down (tee hee) and is fighting to keep certain details of their personal like out of the public eye. Odd, considering she has a ITV2 film crew following her around all the time.

The pair are set to take the stand this week, with one source saying; “Peter never wanted to have to come to court. Katie’s the mother of his children and they were once in love. But he feels that if he doesn’t take action, what he considers to be her lies will continue.

“All he wants from her is an undertaking in court that she won’t say them again. He has never spilled the beans about what really went on in the final months of their marriage because he doesn’t want any of the repercussions to impact on his kids. Katie thinks the case is a waste of time. But Peter’s sick and tired of having to worry over what she’s going to say about him next.  He’s actually had the patience of a saint. But enough is enough.”

Yikes! So, whose side are you on?

More Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Clips

Michael Douglas reprises the role of Gordon Gekko, the role that won him a Best Actor Oscar, as Wall Stree: Money Never Sleeps reaches UK cinemas this week.

Oliver Stone is back in the director’s chair and brings together an impressive cast of Carey Mulligan, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin and Frank Langella.

Emerging from a lengthy prison stint, Gekko finds himself on the outside of a world he once dominated. He now has to play catch-up and redefine himself in a different era.

Gekko has to become relevant again. But a young, idealistic investment banker (LaBeouf) learns the hard way that Gekko is still a master manipulator and if there’s one place where you can redefine yourself, one place where your relevance is a deal away, it’s Wall Street.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is released 8th October. Take a look at a couple of new clips from the movie:

Gulliver’s Travels Poster

We haven’t seen Jack Black on the big screen for a while but he is back this winter with his new movie Gulliver’s Travels, in which he takes on the title character.

An all star cast join the funnyman as Emily Blunt, Jason Segel, Billy Connolly and Catherine Tate are all on the cast list in the Rob Letterman directed movie.

Jack Black stars in the 20th Century Fox adaptation of Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels with this fantasy-filled comedic production.

This take on the timeless tale revolves around a shipwrecked journalist (Black) who discovers an island in the heart of the Bermuda Triangle where he is the biggest occupant in comparison to its tiny inhabitants.

Shark Tale’s Rob Letterman directs from a script by Forgetting Sarah Marshall’s Nick Stoller and Joe Stillman (Shrek).

Gulliver’s Travels is released 26th December. Take a look at the new poster for the movie:

Secretariat Clips

Diane Lane is back on the big screen later this year as she takes on the role of Penny Chenery in racing drama Secretariat, which is directed by Randall Wallace.

Based on the remarkable true story, “Secretariat” chronicles the spectacular journey of the 1973 Triple Crown winner.

Housewife and mother Penny Chenery Tweedy agrees to take over her ailing father’s Virginia based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing experience.

Secretariat is released 10th December. Take a look at a couple of clips from the movie:

Against all odds, with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin, she manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years and what may be the greatest racehorse of all time.
