Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Pics

Now I know that many people raised an eyebrow when it was revealed that Pirates of the Caribbean would be returning for a fourth movie.

But filming is underway and Johnny Depp is all set to return as Captain Jack Sparrow.

This time around it’s Rob Marshall in the director’s chair and Ian McShane and Penelope Cruz replace Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.

In this action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise, Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), and he’s not sure if it’s love–or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth.

When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.

First Real Steel Trailer

Hugh Jackman is back on the big screen next year as he teams up with filmmaker Shawn Levy for Real Steel.

Real Steel is an action drama about a former boxer (Hugh Jackman) who, against all odds, gets one last shot at a comeback when he teams up with his estranged son (Dakota Goyo) to build and train the perfect contender for the now hi-tech sport of robot boxing.

A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, Real Steel stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring.

Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next.

When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender.

As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

The Mechanic UK Trailer

Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) is the ‘mechanic’ – an elite assassin with a unique talent for eliminating targets with deadly skill and total emotional detachment.

To be the best in the business Bishop has given everything to realising professional perfection, the last and only attachment in his life is to his mentor and friend Harry (Donald Sutherland).

When Harry is murdered Bishop takes on a self-imposed assignment to kill the murderers, using Harry’s own legacy to avenge his death.

Things get complicated when Harry’s son Steve (Ben Foster) emerges with the same vengeful goal and a determination to learn Bishop’s trade.

Unable to turn his back on Harry’s son, Bishop goes against his vow to always work alone and takes on an apprentice; and when the methodical, detached professional takes on the impulsive, emotional student a deadly partnership is born.

But while in pursuit of their ultimate mark, deceptions threaten to surface and those hired to fix problems become the problems themselves.

The Mechanic is released 28th January.

Arthur Christmas Trailer

The release of Arthur Christmas may be a full twelve months away but we already have the trailer for you to take a sneak peak at.

The 3D, CG-animated family comedy Arthur Christmas, an Aardman production for Sony Pictures Animation, at last reveals the incredible, never-before seen answer to every child’s question: ‘So how does Santa deliver all those presents in one night?’

The answer: Santa’s exhilarating, ultra-high-tech operation hidden beneath the North Pole.

But at the heart of the film is a story with the ingredients of a Christmas classic – a family in a state of comic dysfunction and an unlikely hero, Arthur, with an urgent mission that must be completed before Christmas morning dawns.
