We have been swamped with a string of alien movies of a late from Skyline to Monsters but I have to admit that it’s Battle: Los Angeles that I’m particularly looking forward to.
On February 25th 1942, just after 2 am, hundreds of thousands of people witnessed something in the skies above Los Angeles.
US army planes scrambled to intercept, while anti-aircraft guns fired over 1,500 rounds for more than two hours.
The object was never hit, then it disappeared. The president was briefed and ordered an investigation.
Finally the government dismissed the incident and the story was forgotten. The truth behind these real events has never been explained.
Meteors shoot into the ocean a couple of miles off the coast of Los Angeles. Minutes later, beachgoers witness a strange alien like army oozing out of the water. These aliens are nasty, they’re fast, and they kill on site.
Within seconds they’re shredding the suntanning populace to pieces and moving into the city of Santa Monica.
Marine Sgt. Nantz (Aaron Eckhart) leads his new platoon against a surprise attack on Los Angeles, attempting to rescue civilians in Santa Monica and destroy the hub of the enemy’s mysterious power grid, while similar epic battles are waged across the world in other cities. – Movienewz
Battle: Los Angeles is released 11th March. Take a looka t a couple of clips from the movie.
