Kate Middleton Flying the Flag for British Fashion

Kate Middleton is rarely out of the style columns. Her classy, modern fashion is a breath of fresh air for us all and cannot help but put the Royal Family is a better light.

This week is no different for the newly wed Duchess of Cambridge as she was spotted at the races with husband Prince William, brother-in-law Prince Harry and a whole host of other guests.

Again Kate was wearing a Reiss dress, her second in about as many weeks, reinforcing her as not only a style icon, but one who is doing wonders for British fashion and promoting accessible fashion.

We simply cannot get over our Kate fever as she was spotted in a white chiffon Reiss dress, a waffle jacket by Joseph and nude patent pumps and a diamante encrusted clutch both by LK Bennett. Though some may say the new royal is becoming a little boring with her nude colour palette, not all fashion icons have to be daring and contoversial. It takes a lot of fashion savvy to pull off class time and time, particularly when your every fashion move is being watched and judged and all the while flying the flag for affordable British fashion.

There is something very honest about Kate’s approach to fashion. She is not trying to be anyone else – instead she looks comfortable in her own style that has not changed very much in her whole relationship with the Prince William. Both she and Wills are a modern couple with their own minds, as reflected in their stunning wedding ceremony in April, and their tastes in fashion reflect this.

Modern, in-the-moment fashion is just what we would expect to see from Kate and if she’s keeping British labels in the spotlight then even better. Reiss’s website crashed last week as a result of the interest paid to the schola dress she wore to meet the First Lady, Michelle Obama – a good thing for fashion!

Like so many bloggers and journalists, I cannot wait to see what Kate is seen in next. I only hope that it is received as well as her previous outfits and the labels she is spotted in don’t take advantage of the opportunity and bump up the price. Something tells me that our Kate will simply find another underdog to support and bring them to the top alongside herself!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 Clip

There are just five weeks to go Potter fans until Deathly Hallows Part 2 is released – bringing the Harry Potter franchise to a close.

The movie looks set to potentially be the biggest release of the year – however a HP movie has never broke the $1 billion barrier in it’s ten year domination at the box office.

However I feel that that may be about to change as Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint take on the role of Harry, Hermione and Ron for the final time.

In the epic finale, the battle between the good and evil forces of the wizarding world escalates into an all-out war. The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe.

But it is Harry Potter who may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws closer to the climactic showdown with Lord Voldemort.

It all ends here.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is released 15th July. Take a look at a clip from the movie:

Conan The Barbarian Character Posters

With the likes of Thor, The Hangover Part II and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides the new Conan the Barbarian movie has been somewhat over looked so far this summer.

Jason Momoa, who is currently starring in Game of Thrones, is set to swap TV for the big screen as he takes over the role of Conan from Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Since birth, Conan’s life has been marked by violence.

And after watching his fellow tribesmen and his father brutally and cruelly killed, Conan vows to avenge his peoples’ slaughter, even if it means sacrificing his own life in the process.

Conan The Barbarian is released 19th August. Take a look at the character posters for the movie:
