The Debt UK Trailer & Poster

The Debt is a movie that has been moved around the schedule like there is no tomorrow but it is finally going to reach the big screen next month.

The movie marks the return to the big screen for Oscar winner Helen Mirren and Avatar star Sam Worthington.

The story begins in 1997, as shocking news reaches retired Mossad secret agents Rachel (Mirren) and Stephan (Tom Wilkinson) about their former colleague David (Ciarán Hinds).

All three have been venerated for decades by Israel because of the secret mission that they embarked on for their country back in 1965-1966, when the trio Jessica Chastain (The Tree of Life), Marton Csokas (The Lord of the Rings) and Sam Worthington tracked down Nazi war criminal Dieter Vogel (Jesper Christensen of Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace), the feared Surgeon of Birkenau, in East Berlin.

While Rachel found herself grappling with romantic feelings during the mission, the net around Vogel was tightened by using her as bait.

At great risk, and at considerable personal cost, the team’s mission was accomplished… or was it?

The suspense builds in and across two different time periods, with startling action and surprising revelations that compel Rachel to take matters into her own hands.

The Debt is released 30th September. Take a look at the UK trailer for the movie:

2 New The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Images

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is one of the movies that I am super looking forward to this Christmas – the somewhat hard-hitting movie will be a welcome change from the mush that tends to dominate the big screen over the festive period.

Directed by David Fincher I am expecting big things from this American remake, I was a big fan of the original that was released last year – and will be expecting more of the same.

Rooney Mara has taken over the central from of Lisbeth Salander from Noomi Rapace while Daniel Craig will be back as Mikael Blomkvist.

Harriet Vanger disappeared off the secluded island owned and inhabited by the powerful Vanger family. There was no corpse, no witnesses, no evidence.

Nearly forty years later a journalist by the name of Mikael Blomqvist gets an unusual assignment. He’s contacted by Harriet’s uncle, Henrik Vanger, who wants him to find out what really happened to Harriet.

Mikael takes on the job, with help from mysterious biker girl and computer hacker Lisbeth Salander.

This unlikely pair form a fragile bond as they dig into the sinister past of this family and find out just how far they’re prepared to go to protect themselves – and each other.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is released 26th December. Here are two new images from the movie:
