It’s British Chocolate Week

It’s British Chocolate Week, so what will you be doing to celebrate?

As much as I like to this that this occurs every week, it doesn’t. But this does mean I can use it as an excuse to eat copious amounts of chocolate and feel no guilt, right?

Are you a big chocolate lover?

Try and incorporate as much chocolate as you can and let us know how you got along. I had chocolate milk for breakfast.

So what’s all the fuss about nail art?…

I’m not sure if it’s me, but I’m noticing that nail art is bigger this year than ever before.

From wraps, to marble arts and multi hued effects there seems to be no stopping us from adding colour and vibrance to the tips of our fingers of late.

I myself have been experimenting with my own tallons of late to try and come up with some interesting and exciting looks for this season and I think I’m starting to understand the appeal now more than ever.

It’s fun!

For many years, ladies have been painting their nails for the style and glamour (the orginal and classic red more than any other colour), but now there is something liberating about being able to express yourself and your fashion with the use of a couple of pots of colour and your nails.

I’ve recently written how to do features for www.femalefirst.co.uk on everything from newspaper print nails, striped, crackle manicures and even dip dye nails, not just to express some style but because it’s enjoyable.

With the news of Chanel’s S/S 2012 nail colour collection being named after the spring months something tells me that our love affair with our nails will only get stronger, with more and more ladies being creative and individual with the artistic flair.

The popular US TV show Gossip Girl has even launched their character inspired nail varnish range with a metallic base colour and funky top coat to achieve the style and elegance of everyone’s favourite fashionistas.

So next time, you’re looking for something to do why not crack open the nail laquers or wrap sheests, have a think about your favourite colours and have a go at create a signature look of your own.

It’s addictive!

First Trailer For The Raven

John Cusack makes a welcome return to the big screen in The Raven, a movie which sees him take on the role of writer Edgar Allan Poe.

When a mother and daughter are found brutally murdered in 19th century Baltimore, Detective Emmett Fields (Luke Evans) makes a startling discovery: the crime resembles a fictional murder described in gory detail in the local newspaper – part of a collection of stories penned by struggling writer and social pariah Edgar Allan Poe.

But even as Poe is questioned by police, another grisly murder occurs, also inspired by a popular Poe story.

Realizing a serial killer is on the loose using Poe’s writings as the backdrop for his bloody rampage, Fields enlists the author’s help in stopping the attacks.

The movie is directed by V for Vendetta filmmaker James McTeigue and also has Luke Evans and Alice Eve on the cast list.

The Raven should hit the big screen early next year.

The Greatest Movie Ever Sold Trailer

Boundary-pushing Oscar®-nominated filmmaker Morgan Spurlock explores the world of product placement, marketing and advertising in The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, a film that was fully financed through product placement from various brands, all of which are integrated transparently into the film.

While using brands in film promotion is not new for Hollywood, it is certainly new territory for the documentary format.

Spurlock exploits the phenomenon to new heights, with everything from branded pizza boxes and in-flight film promotions to branded-everything in-film.

A very powerful but also irreverent brand in his own right, filmmaker Morgan Spurlock is much loved in the UK.

With humor and insight in The Greatest Movie Ever Sold he unmasks the marketing process to bring audiences behind closed doors directly into the pitch meetings and marketing presentations which ultimately inform our everyday entertainment decisions.

Selected for opening night movie at Sheffield Doc Festival. The film also screened at Sundance Film Festival 2011, Miami International Film Festival 2011 and SXSW Film Festival 2011.

The Greatest Movie Ever Sold is released 14th October.
