Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Special

It finally arrived. I must admit that I have been a little more excited about this than the Royal Wedding earlier this year. Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ Wedding Special on E!

Us in jolly ol’ England had to wait an extra week for the two-hour special to be aired, but it most certainly was worth the wait. And we have another two hours this evening, Oh E! you are good to us.

In last night’s episode we got to see the run-up to the wedding, a dress fitting, the tux fitting, bouquet picking, momager (mom and manager) Kris’ face lift, family gathering – a typical day in the life of a Kardashian really.

The one thing that did stand out throughout the episode was Kris’ (fiance) really bad attitude – in all fairness he was a bit of an a**. He made a point of winding Khloe up every time they were near each other, turned up late when meeting momager and basically seemed to sulk when Kim rejected his awful ideas for the wedding. No sparkle…. Really?!

But then you kind of forgive him, because when’s being sweet and cute with Kim, they really do look happy and deeply in love. Which, I usually think can be a bit nauseating but they are just too adorable.

Tonight’s episode we get to see the actual ceremony, and after devouring Hello magazine when it came out, I cannot wait to see it in live action. The whole thing looked stunning, especially when Mason stumbled down the aisle as ring-bearer.

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, and I can’t wait to go home, get out of the cold and put some warm pyjamas on and accept my invitation to the most extravagant wedding in reality TV history.

80% of women don’t buy celeb endorsed beauty products…

The million dollar question: Would you buy a beauty product just because a fresh faced, potentially airbrushed celebrity is fronting the campaign?

A new survey has revealed that a staggering 80% of us are not phased by the celebrity phenomena and their image would not make us buy the product the were selling.

Instead the poll, commission by Wahanda, the world’s largest online health and beauty wellbeing site, found that 70% of the 1,700 lovely ladies asked would rather use online reviews and peer recommendations when buying new creams and treatments.

Commenting on the poll, Lopo Champalimaud, CEO of Wahanda said: “This shows the power of online reviews and forums and their reputation as a trustworthy source of information.

“People want to engage with like-minded people and sites like Wahanda provide this facility.?? Furthermore, it gives users a feeling of belonging and wanting to share their own experiences to the benefit of others.

High on the wellbeing agenda, with 68% of people agreeing, is finding something to eliviate the stress from our lives. The majority (37%) like to turn to a massage to unwind and relax and 80% say that they would not be prepared to give up alcohol in their lives.

Whether it’s wishful thinking or proven fact, most of us believe that changing our eating habits has a greater impact on improving our wellbeing than exercising. However, plenty of experts suggest that it’s a healthy balance of both that achieves the best results in looking and feeling your best.

The poll has revealed that ladies love looking after their appearance. Plenty believe in the power of good hair days helping to build up confidence. The majority book an appointment to have their hair cut or coloured every nine weeks to heighten their positive appearance.

While hair cuts may be high on the agenda, hair removal is not so popular. Ladies opting for waxing and Brazilians is in the minority, only having it done two or three times a years only.

Between 10th and 16th October, Wahanda hosts ‘Feel Gorgeous Week’, a celebration of all things well being and dedicating seven days to making the nation look and feels its very best.

Let us know what you’re favourite ways to look after yourself are…whether it’s a favourite exercise technique, special meal or simply a soak in the bath, FemaleFirst would love to know.

Snowtown Trailer

Snowtown has already been causing a bit of a stir as director Justin Kurzel tells the true story of Australia’s infamous serial killer John Bunting.

Sixteen-year-old Jamie longs for an escape from the violence and hopelessness that surrounds him in Adelaide’s disenfranchised northern suburbs, and his salvation arrives in the form of John, a charismatic man who unexpectedly comes to his aid.

As John spends more and more time with Jamie’s family, he moves from the role of Jamie’s protector to that of a mentor, indoctrinating Jamie into his world, a world brimming with bigotry, righteousness and malice.

Like a son mimicking his father, Jamie soon begins to take on some of John’s traits and beliefs as he spends more and more time with him and his select group of friends.

The protection and guidance that John presents to Jamie is initially welcomed however as events occur around him, including the disappearance of several people, Jamie begins to harbour deep suspicions about John and his motivations.

When the truth is finally revealed to Jamie his hopes of happiness are threatened by both his loyalty for, and fear of, his father-figure John Bunting, Australia’s most notorious serial killer.

A nail-biting, highly acclaimed thriller, Snowtown marks the arrival of a major new filmmaking talent.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower Images

Emma Watson is leaving Harry Potter behind with her new movie project The Perks of Being A Wallflower – which sees her star alongside Logan Lerman.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower is a big screen adaptation of the novel of the same name by Stephen Chbosy – who is in the director’s chair for this project.

He has also penned the screenplay and brought together a great cast that include Watson, Lerman, Paul Rudd, Kate Walsh and Dylan McDermott.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a coming of age story about 15-year-old Charlie (Lerman), an endearing and naive outsider, coping with first love (Watson), the suicide of his best friend, and his own mental illness while struggling to find a group of people with whom he belongs.”
