Fourteen days to better skin

Two weeks, that’s all it takes for you to have renewed skin and believe me there’s a lot less effort involved than I anticipated.

Renew You is a brand new rejuvenating programmer that has been proven to dramatically improve the hydration, smoothness and brightness of your skin in just a fortnight. And that’s exactly what it did.

I recently tried this out, with the thought that it may slightly improve my skins condition but I was really surprised when my make-up was applied much easier and stayed on for longer.

Not only did it make my face look better with make-up, I noticed a change when I had a bare face, which is very unusual for me – I need a heavy dose of MAC foundation before I look human, seriously.

The two-week, evening and morning regime contains 19 treatments which promise to repair, brighten, deep cleanse and tone and nourish and rehydrate; depending on which programme you opt for, I used the Pure Radiance and there is also Intense Hydration available.

94 per cent of women reported a dramatic improvement in skin’s hydration and overall skin tone, and I’m certainly one of them.

This is the perfect stocking filler for your mum, sister, aunt or grandmother. They’ll notice the difference too and be thankful that you introduced them to the Renew You.

Get the ultimate a/w tousled fishtail braid…

When we look back at 2011 there will be some defining fashion and beauty trends that will stand out from the rest. Two of the most popular hairstyles, without doubt, have been the bun and the braid.

We’ve all sported a variety of different dos this year, but the donut inspired ballet bun and the much-loved fishtail braid. Whether it’s a casual or formal look, the fishtail is stylish, playful and unforgettable as hairstyles go.

If you’re a fan of the fishtail, but still need some tips for achieving the ultimate tussled look, then have a read of the FemaleFirst run through for making light work of this timeless, trendsetting look.

A simple trick for instantly making the braid easier to achieve is to bring it to the side.

So, to create the ultimate tousled side fishtail braid:

1. Start by backcombing the hair at the crown and root to add volume.

2. Brush through and bring all the hair to one side of the head. Fasten with an elastic at the nape of the neck.

3. Seperate the hair into two equal sections.

4. Take a small piece of hair from the outer side of one of the sections of hair and cross it over to the join the other section of hair.

5. Do the same for the other side, ensuring that the piece is from the outer side of the section to cross over.

6. Continue to do this, pulling the hair tight to keep it in place.

7. When the fishtail is complete to the bottom of the hair fasten with a bobble, elastic or ribbon and make sure that it is secure.

8. When the braid is secure, pull pieces of the hair away from the fishtail and around the face to help frame and add texture to the look.

9. Snip the elastic at the top of the braid to free into place and tussle as much as you like.

10. Finally rub some Charles Worthington’s Front Row Forever Lasting Hairspray  into your hands and smooth over the fishtail to add texture and set in place.

Happy experimenting!

Steven Spielberg & Peter Jackson Talk Tintin

Now I have to admit that I wasn’t a fan of Tintin when I was young but this is one of the winter movies that I am super looking forward to.

When you seen that Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson have collaborated then it is not a movie that you can just let pass by.

Yes Spielberg is back in the director’s chair, for the first time since Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, while Jackson is on producing duties.

Weta Digital are behind the movie’s special effects and the entire film has been shot using motion capture – another reason that I am excited to see it.

Tintin is an intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure.

Jamie Bell has lent his voice as the title character Tintin while Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Andy Serkis and Toby Jones are all on the cast list.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is released 26th October.

Miss Bala tells the story of Laura, a young aspiring beauty queen who finds her dream turned against her when she unwillingly gets involved with a criminal group at war in today’s lawless Mexico.
