Is Nicole Richie fashion’s next big thing?…

It seems that Nicole Richie could be the next celebrity to make a name for themself in the fashion industry.

In recent years, singers and actresses have turned their hand to designing, some including Gwen Stefani, Victoria Beckham and Jessica Simpson, with great success.

Miss Richie has already tipped her toe into the world of fashion when she launched her jewellery and accessories line House of Harlow in 2007 and then went onto release a collection of shoes and bags in 2009 and 2011 respectively.

Not only has she been spotted on the front row of Paris Fashion Week, at Louis Vuitton no less, but she will also be appearing as a mentor on the new series Fashion Star in February.

2011 has been a big year for the actress and socialite as she debuted her read to wear line under Winter Kate, which sees her take inspiration from her rock, hippy, vintage persona we have come to know and love as Nicole’s personal style.

Richie is creating a lot of buzz and media attention for herself at the moment with her potential launch into the competitive industry. With collections and connections in all the right places, we’re looking forward to seeing what she has next up her talented and oh-so-trendy sleeve.

Tulisa’s new perfume – The Female Boss

Tulisa Contostavlos proved that she’s got the X Factor when she launched her new perfume – The Perfume Boss.

The N-Dubz singer wore the X Factor colours when she attended a signing of her new venture.

In recent weeks, the beauty has been praised by many for her incredible start on the show, showing off her genuine, caring side, as opposed to the rough edge that we’ve sometimes come to expect from her with her band-mates.

Tulisa says: “I wanted a fragrance that I could relate to. Something powerful without losing it’s girlieness. I wanted to be able to wear it day and night. This fragrance will really give the girls the confidence to show those boys who is boss.”

The great thing about the perfume is that it has staying power – you only need a few squirts and the smell lasts all day. Perfect.

Top notes of spices blend with rose and jasmine to give TFB a soft floral heart. Supported by a rich sexy base of sandalwood, amber and moss. As well as exquisite vanilla and musks, The Female Boss perfectly embodies Tulisa’s fervent spirit and sexy personality.

Another great thing about the perfume is that it only comes in 100ml bottles, it’s going to last for ages.

TFB can be found at The Perfume Shop and other leading fragrance retailers, available now.

Anonymous Cast Featurette

We are use to seeing Roland Emmerich direct big budget blockbusters such as Independence Day and 2012 but this week sees him tackle a whole new subject… Shakespeare.

Yes the director is bringing Elizabethan England to life with his new movie that asks one question – was Shakespeare a fraud?

The movie brings together an impressive cast of Rhys Ifans, Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson, David Thewlis, Rafe Spall and Jamie Campbell Bower.

And they talk about the movie and their characters in this video.

Set in the political snake-pit of Elizabethan England, “Anonymous” speculates on an issue that has for centuries intrigued academics and brilliant minds such as Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, and Sigmund Freud, namely: who actually created the body of work credited to William Shakespeare?

Experts have debated, books have been written, and scholars have devoted their lives to protecting or debunking theories surrounding the authorship of the most renowned works in English literature.

“Anonymous” poses one possible answer, focusing on a time when scandalous political intrigue, illicit romances in the Royal Court, and the schemes of greedy nobles lusting for the power of the throne were brought to light in the most unlikely of places: the London stage.

Anonymous is released 28th October.

The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists Trailer

In The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists, Hugh Grant stars in his first animated role as the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain – a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas.

With a rag-tag crew at his side (Martin Freeman, Brendan Gleeson, Russell Tovey, and Ashley Jensen), and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter rivals Black Bellamy (Jeremy Piven) and Cutlass Liz (Salma Hayek) to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award.

It’s a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London.

Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria (Imelda Staunton) and team up with a young Charles Darwin (David Tennant), but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!

The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists is released 28th March 2012
