The New X Factor USA Judges

The new Judges have been announced for the X Factor USA and I have to be honest, I’m in two minds about them.

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato have replaced Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul and you’ve got to question, are they really the right people for the job?

On one hand, Britney has plenty of experience as she’s been in the fame game for over 14 years and she’s a very successful singer, and Demi has been successful in both acting and singing in her short career.

On the other hand, both Britney and Demi have experienced very public breakdowns, Demi allegedly punched a dancer in the face and then entered rehab, and Britney went crazy and shaved her head in full view of the paparazzi and entered a number of rehab facilities.

So you could say that neither are fit to be role models for those who want to enter the industry but the way I choose to see it, they are a good reminder of how fame can ruin your life as well as make it.

I don’t doubt they will make good judges, they have a wider experience of the fame spectrum than many, but will their mishaps create uproar amongst the do-gooders?

Bryce Dallas Howard Flying the Flag for Real Women

Bryce Dallas Howard stepped out for the first time with her 4-month-old daughter Beatrice over the weekend and it was so refreshing to see that she is still carrying some baby weight.

Everywhere we look, of late, there are celebrity mums snapping right back into shape weeks after giving birth and not only is it highly unrealistic, it’s depressing.

Some women never get back to their pre-baby body so it’s a right kick in the teeth when you see women like Abbey Clancy back in their size 4 jeans within a matter of weeks.

Bryce is showing women all over the world that it’s natural to carry baby weight after the baby is born, and that you in no way should be ashamed.

Surely the most important thing once your baby is born is to care for that baby, not when you can get back in to the gym to work off the extra pounds.

Take note woman, and make Bryce your new poster girl for your post-baby body.
