A truly fashionable affair

I love it when these types of films come out because it means the promo tour is going to filled with plenty of amazing fashion choices, and the LA premiere of What to Expect When You’re Expecting did not disappoint.

Not only did we have the beauties, Brooklyn Decker, Elizabeth Banks, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Anna Kendrick to fawn over. Chace Crawford also made an appearance – eye candy that we love.

Each of the ladies opted for very different fashion choices, and each was as beautiful as the last. No one tried to outshine the other.

Brooklyn Decker - Her Giambattsta Valli Spring 2012 dress gave the perfect beach, laidback vibe. Which she obviously paired with loose waves. I love the lemon and lime colour on her.

Elizabeth Banks  - The actress has been on a roll the past few months, each of her red carpet appearances have left me in awe. Her Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2012 is beautiful, she added a matching knuckle-duster clutch.

Cameron Diaz - Once again she opted for a Little Black Dress, this time Valentino. I don’t roll my eyes at this look though because I really love her nude Lanvin Pumps and the pops of colour she added on her nails and lips. As always, the most enviable figure.

Jennifer Lopez - Diva Lopez is actually a lot less flash than I was expecting. I love this style on her and think that this Maria Lucia Hohan dress would sit perfectly well in my wardrobe. Jennifer is the latest star to have a statement lip, a trend which was prevalent at the Met Gala last week. She looks super sexy, like always.

Anna Kendrick - There’s not much else to say when a star wears Elie Saab. His dresses are INCREDIBLE. That’s it, that’s all there is to say.

Aishwarya Rai ‘Betraying’ Her Country

It was only the other day that I was praising Bryce Dallas Howard for not succumbing to the pressure of losing her baby weight, and now I’m faced with a new story that makes me even more angry.

Miss World 1994 and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been accused of betraying her country after failing to lose her baby weight seven months after giving birth.

Are these people being serious? When I think of betraying my country, I think along the lines of feeding intel to the Russians or joining Al Qaeda, not gaining a few pounds during pregnancy.

Just because she is a superstar does not mean it’s any easier for her to lose weight, nor does it mean that she should have to lose the weight.

She says that she is just enjoying being a mother, they say she needs to take inspiration from Victoria Beckham.

I think it’s fair to say that these people are deluded if they think that your image should come before being a good mother.

The Addicted Trailer

Sean J Vincent seats himself in the director’s chair for his new movie The Addicted, a project that he also penned, produced and stars in.

In 1987, David is a resident at ‘The Manor’ Drug Rehab Unit. Whilst there he is being kept addicted to heroin by a Clinical Director Chris Hunter whilst he has an affair with David’s wife.

Chris eventually poisons David with contaminated heroin leaving him with horrendous facial disfigurement and chronic pain. David soon hangs himself.

25 years later and we follow Chris’s daughter Nicole as she tries to break into TV journalism. Her boyfriend (Adam) suggests they spend a night filming with friends in the now derelict Drug Rehab unit.

There have been recent reports of paranormal goings-on and they plan to try and film them. It soon becomes clear however that they are very much not alone…

Won’t Back Down Trailer

We may only be in May 2012 but the buzz for the 2013 Oscar seems to have already got underway with new movie Won’t Back Down.

But when you see that Viola Davis is on the cast list of the movie it’s not hard to see why all the fuss is being made after her stunning performance in The Help.

The actress teams up with a fellow nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal for the movie that is set to inspire.

The Academy loves a movie that is based on real events and this movie follows two mothers from different backgrounds, a postal worker and a reporter, who join forces to take on a failing public school system.

Facing a powerful and entrenched bureaucracy, they risk everything to make a difference in the education and future of their children.
