Tom Daley Twitter Abuse

As you’ve all heard, Tom Daley received some disgusting abuse from a complete muppet on Twitter yesterday and I’m glad to say he’s now been arrested.

How inconsiderate and downright stupid do you have to be to say such a horrible thing? What made it worse was once he’d been exposed by Tom Daley, he then grovelled and made excuses for his horrendous behaviour.

The cherry on top of the cake was that once Tom Daley didn’t apply accepting his pathetic excuse of an apology, he then went back to slating him.

There are words for this type of person that I can’t type here, but take a minute to creatively fill the void that I am unable to.

All I can say is that Tom Daley did us nothing but proud and I’m sure his father would feel the same should be still with us.

On a lighter note, we’ve already bagged two silvers and two bronze so come on Team GB, let’s get that gold!

Oh BBC, You’ve Made Me The Happiest Boy In The World

It’s fair to say that I’m not the biggest fan of 3D. In fact, I hate it. I’ve even engineered a set of glasses that convert 3D back into 2D for occasions I have to watch films in dreaded stereoscopy.  That that means I have to wear two sets of specs is downright hateful.

So, with the BBC announcing that they believe that Super Hi-Vision is the future of television is heart-warming stuff indeed.

Claiming up to 16 times the sharpness of HD, Super Hi-Vision looks, on paper at least, a mind blowing experience. Not just for the eyes though, as it also carries a mind boggling ability to do 22.2 channel sound, instead of the 5.1 we currently love. It’s also purely 2D, so no awkward glasses are needed.

There’s just one little catch though. It probably won’t be ready for years to come. While the camera’s exist and have even shot the opening ceremony to London 2012, there are very few screens that can show the marvellous bounty.

Despite all of this though, the BBC and it’s Japanese partner NHK want to be at the head of the queue for this revolution and that’s a really encouraging thing. The numbers are big and scary and that the BBC want to tackle it head on and revolutionise TV is another reason why I’m happy to pay the licence fee.

Talk to y’all again soon,

Cameron

Leave It On The Floor Trailer

Remember the documentary Paris is Burning?! Sheldon Larry’s audacious, raunchy and big-hearted musical with songs by Beyonce’s music director Kim Burse and choreography by Beyonce’s dance master Frank Gatson Jr. takes us into the fabulously funky world of voguing. Here the setting is contemporary downtown L.A.

Our hunky, homeless hero Brad, discarded by his homophobic mom, falls in with the members of the House of Eminence, ruled by the stern aging diva Queef Latina, who keeps a careful, loving watch over her makeshift family of runaways and throwaways.

When two of her crew fall for Brad, the Queef is royally unamused. Step Up and Streetdance move aside, there’s a new beat in town…

And we have the trailer for the movie for you to take a look at:

Leave It On The Floor is released 3rd August

Jo Nesbø’s Jackpot Trailer

Already this year a Jo Nesbø adaptation has enjoyed huge success at the box office this year as Headhunters won over critics and audiences.

Jo Nesbø has sold over 9 million books – This film is based on a story you haven’t read.

Reluctantly Oscar starts relating the incredible story of four men who won top prize in a soccer pool and suddenly found themselves 1,739,361 kroner richer. But it turned out to be difficult to divide the money by four.

Jackpot is an exciting, playful and bloody comedy from the producer of Cold Prey. It is based on a story by Norway’s leading crime writer, Jo Nesbø. We meet a group of scruffy young men, all of them with a criminal background.

Oscar (Kyrre Hellum), Thor (Mads Ousdal), Billy (Arthur Berning) and Tresko (Andreas Cappelen). They work at a factory in the middle of nowhere that makes plastic Christmas trees. And they bet on soccer…

Kristen and Rupert Coming Clean

I actually cannot believe it. After hours of speculation and me saying that I didn’t think it was true, Kristen Stewart released a public statement saying how sorry she was for the pain she had caused to everyone involved.

Shortly after, Rupert Sanders followed suit and issued a statement apologising for his actions and saying that he’s praying he and his wife, model Liberty Ross, can work it out.

I’m not sure if I’m more shocked by the fact that it was true or because they actually admitted to it.

You just never hear of it on this scale. Sure, there are D list celebrities who are caught up in cheating rumours and affair scandals all the time, but stars as big as Kristen Stewart? That never happens.

In a weird way, I feel sort of sorry for her. I don’t rate her, but I feel bad that she has to go through this publicly. On the other hand, I can’t believe she was so stupid to do it, and then get caught.

Robert Pattinson has yet to release a statement, and I’m literally on the edge of my seat hitting F5 waiting for the stories to update with his reply.

Kristen has said that Rob is the most important thing in her life and she loves him but the big question is will he stick around?

UK’s first free broadband service for users on the go

Samba – a new service which offers free on the go broadband for laptops, netbooks and iPads – has launched in the UK.

Based on a simple value exchange model, users watch a few high-quality video advertisements to earn free credit.  A partnership with the award winning Three network means Samba offers the best connection possible and coverage across all of the UK.

Watching just 2.5 minutes of ads per day – that’s less than the average ad break on commercial television – earns enough data to cover the average consumer’s monthly broadband consumption of 517MB data per month.  Customers choose which ads they want to watch and when they want to watch them. A battery icon shows how much credit there is.

The need for broadband on the go is growing quickly. Over 7 million adults in the UK use a broadband on the go service and this is predicted to continue to grow exponentially.  Savvy consumers can utilise Samba and reduce their bills, saving an average of £10 per month.

“Samba is the perfect solution for people who need internet data on the go and don’t want to be locked into contracts with monthly charges and additional costs for excess data usage.  With Samba you earn the credit watching ads at a time that is convenient for you and then have access when you need it.  It also marks an end to that hunt for a coffee shop, pub, hotel or library to get online – with Samba you can be online anytime, anywhere.”  comments Ben Atherton, CEO and founder of Samba.

“We want Samba to be a quality product that our customers will enjoy using.  We have the best connection and internet speed possible and carry premium ads from brands such as Agent Provocateur, Sims, Volvo, Clinique, Nissan, Paramount Pictures, Xbox Kinect, Pot Noodle and Dell.” continues Atherton.

Providing value to customers and advertisers alike, additional Samba credit can be earned when customers click through to a partner retailer and purchase items.  With partners such as iTunes and PriceGrabber (and more to follow soon) it is easy to earn additional credit while shopping online.

It’s easy to get up and running with Samba. Go to www.sambamobile.com, register details and purchase a SIM (and dongle for laptops). Start collecting data by watching ads then when the SIM arrives plug it in and the software automatically loads. The Samba standard SIM costs £5 including P&P; the Samba Dongle & SIM costs £25 including P&P – this simply covers costs and there are no further costs than this.

Kristen Stewart Cheating Rumours

There’s some pretty damning evidence surfaced that shows Kristen Stewart getting cosy with Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.

Us Weekly have published photos of who appear to be the co-workers in and SUV hugging and very nearly kissing.

Although all the evidence seems to be there, I’m not sure I’m 100 per cent convinced. For a start, the SUV pictures are grainy as hell, and the women alleged to be Kristen is wearing big sun glasses and a baseball cap, there’s a possibility it isn’t even her.

Also, Us Magazine seem to have got a picture of them doing everything but actually kissing. Surely if they were there taking constant pictures, they would have snapped an actual kiss not just a near one?

In the wake of all of this, Rupert Sanders wife, Liberty Ross, has deleted her Twitter account to avoid the constant stream of tweets on the subject.

I’ll admit, I’m not a massive Kristen Stewart fan, but I’ll give it to her, I don’t think she’s stupid enough to do this. Give it a few days and the truth, albeit amongst a cloud of lies, will have come out.
