Keira Knightley Chats About Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World

The lovely Keira Knightley is back on the big screen this week with the release of her new movie Seeking A Friend For The End of the World.

The movie sees Knightley tackle black comedy really for the first time as she teams up with funnyman Steve Carell.

And in this clip the actress talks about her character and how she enjoyed working with Carell.

Set in a too-near future, the movie explores what people will do when humanity’s last days are at hand.

As the respective journeys of Dodge (Carell) and Penny (Knightley) converge, the two spark to each other and their outlooks – if not the world’s – brighten.

Oz The Great And Powerful New Trailer

We may only be in July but today we are looking ahead to March 2013 and the release of Oz The Great And Powerful.

Yes we are returning to Oz as Sam Raimi is back in the director’s chair for the first time since Drag Me To Hell in 2009.

And Raimi has given us a little taste of what we can expect from the movie as he unveils the first trailer for the film:

James Franco leads an all star cast that includes Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Zach Braff.

When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot – fame and fortune are his for the taking – that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting.

Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late.

Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity – and even a bit of wizardry – Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

Dredd Clip

Dredd has been kicking up a storm at Comic Con in San Diego as cinema go-ers have been take a back by just how brutal a movie it is.

Karl Urban has taken over the title role from Sylvester Stallone while Pete Travis is in the director’s chair.

And we have a great new clip from the movie for you to take a look at – just a warning for the squeamish it is quite violent.

Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge – a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of ‘Slo-Mo’ experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed.

During a routine day on the job, Dredd is assigned to train and evaluate Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), a rookie with powerful psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation.

A heinous crime calls them to a neighbourhood where fellow Judges rarely dare to venture- a 200 story vertical slum controlled by prostitute turned drug lord Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) and her ruthless clan.

When they capture one of the clan’s inner circle, Ma-Ma overtakes the compound’s control center and wages a dirty, vicious war against the Judges that proves she will stop at nothing to protect her empire.

With the body count climbing and no way out, Dredd and Anderson must confront the odds and engage in the relentless battle for their survival.

Dredd is released 7th September.
