Kate Moss is set to release the latest installment of her Topshop collection tomorrow…but the advertising campaign shows her looking like she’s just rolled in from a night out!

Kate is pictured posing limply against a wall and lying on the floor while showing off the ripped and laddered tights that are part of the range.

She reminds me off those Alcohol:Know Your Limits adverts on the TV…you know the ones where the girl rubs sick in her hair before she goes out.

So if ‘intoxicated hussy’ is the look you’re going for next season then get yourself down to Topshop tomorrow.

Heidi Looks a Real Pratt on Playboy August 14, 2009

Heidi Pratt will do anything to get herself in the gossip columns and now she’s even stripped off for Playboy….

We know Heidi and her husband Spencer aren’t known for class but this is perhaps the most tacky Playboy cover I have ever seen.
The whole ‘dishing  the dirt’ theme is yet again playing on her fallout with The Hill’s co-star and former best friend Lauren Conrad- isn’t it about time she stopped milking that one.
Heidi had a odd sort of natural prettiness when she first hit our screens in the Hills but these days she looks like a bargain basement Barbie. Everything about this girl is fake- her tan, her hair and now even her boobs!
As far as we can see Heidi was much more likeable- and seemingly happier- when she was still friends with Lauren….so come come on Heidi ditch the dodgy extensions and the even more dodgy husband and get back to your roots with LC.

Barbie Bags- Cute or Tragic? August 10, 2009

Barbie is an iconic of girliness and we all love her- but what do you think about Barbie inspired handbags?

Paul’s Boutique have brought out a range of handbags with special Barbie designs on and although they are taotally fab to look at, we must ask is it a bit tragic to carry round a handbag inspired by a doll?

Some of the designs have failry subtle nod to Barbie on but other are full on girly pink with ribbons and patches all over.

What do you think? Is it just a bit of harmless fashion fun or should we grow up and accept that we can no longer get away with carrying our Barbie’s round wherever we go?

Would You Buy Tango’s Fake Tan? May 28, 2009

It’s finally happened- the world has gone mad. Tango have created their own brand of fake tan, and from what I can gather, people actually think this is a good idea.

Ok, they think it’s something pretty hilarious, but imagine if this actually took off- people would be practically radio-active in the street.

We’ve already got the likes of Jordan and Jodie Marsh who love to look as orange as possible, so giving them this tan is like giving a dog their favourite biscuit! (no pun intended there)

Tango have defended their decision to launch the tan as innovative, which is code for ‘capitalise on the trend for fake tan and make as much money as possible from it.’

To be fair, linking their ‘you’ve been tango’d’ phrase to fake tan and launching a product out of it, is pretty brilliant thinking, and I think it has a possibility of taking off.

There’d be no way in hell I’d be persuaded to try it, but I’m sure others out there will and have a right laugh in doing do as well.

They’re going to trial them though ebay for the bargain price of £5.99, which is actually more expensive than actual fake tan, so perhaps they’ve pitched themselves too high to begin with?

Whatever the reason behind this crazy scheme, we have to admit- it’s one way to bring a smile to your face during this recession!

Amy Winehouse The Style Icon… Really? May 26, 2009

Can we just talk for a second about Amy Winehouse’s fashion collection with PPQ?

I might not be Amy’s biggest fan but even I can admit she’s one hell of a singer, when she’s not off her face. Her talent is singing through and through though, fashion is not a place for her. Her wardrobe seems to consist solely of grubby vest tops, cut off shorts and blood stained ballet pumps. And if there is better stuff back there then why isn’t she wearing that?!

I am yet to see a picture of Amy where I think  ‘Oooh I like that outfit’, even when she does swap her vest and shorts combo for something different, so why has this woman been given a collection with a fashion label as brilliant with PPQ? She has been sharing clothes with a 69 year old grandmother this week for God’s sake!

There seems to be a trend in the fashion industry for any celebrity who has ever worn clothes to release their own fashion collection, regardless of their experience in fashion. Kate Moss, we can understand that one but Beth Ditto? What are Evans thinking?! Surely there are plenty of plus size celebrities more stylish than her.

Just because someone is popular does not automatically make them a style icon. It is a similar case with Michelle Obama. She seems like a lovely woman and she does look nice, but so is my mum and she certainly hasn’t become a style icon. Let’s leave designing to the designers and let celebrities do what they do best, hang around outside ChinaWhites waiting for the paparazzi.

Katie Price To Walk On Catwalk…Say What?! May 21, 2009

Ok, I know she’s been having a bit of a hard time recently, what with her hubby leaving her and all, but who on earth thought Katie Price be a good choice for the catwalk?!

Now, I’m not being snobby or anything, but to most people Katie a.k.a Jordan is not stylish in the slightest, she is just very fake. That’s not to say that I don’t like her, because against my better judgement I do, it’s just that even I can see what a mess she is when it comes to fashion.

Her tan is always four times too dark, she shows too much flesh, her hair is now almost gothically dark and don’t even get me started on the drag queen make-up, because we’d be here forever.

With Peter Andre in tow she was more bearable I think, but since her constant put downs finally pushed him to breaking point she’s now left with a costly divorce looming over her, so could Katie be thinking of a change of career- namely, a catwalk career?!

She will be making her first public outing since the split next Friday, on the runway for Clothes Show London, which will no doubt serve as a huge publicity drive for both the event and Katie herself.

I’m sure she hopes Pete will be watching, just to get a taste of what he is missing, but the fashion world? No, I think they’ll leave well alone…

Beyonce In Fashion Denial? May 19, 2009

Beyonce has claimed she does not have a fashion obsession and says off stage she has simple tastes.

Simple tastes? This is the woman who was tottering around in YSL’s cage heels last week while off duty! And she’s often seen with a designer bag draped over her arm!

Beyonce says she wears the same things every day around the house, fair enough you may say but those same things include a pair of Christian Louboutins!

We don’t know about you but we certainly don’t potter around the house in Louboutins! Oh no, that’s what our Jimmy Choo’s are for!

Been obsessed with fashion isn’t a bad thing Beyonce, we’re happy to admit that why are so stop denying it and flash those Louboutins to the world!

Lady GaGa Gets Crazy With Fashion! May 14, 2009

Now we know this isn’t exactly a new statement, as Lady GaGa has always been a bit bonkers when it comes to her dress sense, but her latest style debut has really caught our imagination…

An orb hat. Or more specifically her ‘GaGa Barrier’ which she wore on Ellen’s show in the U.S. on Tuesday. It was possibly her weirdest accessory to date, and that is by no mean feat.

This lady has rewritten the rule book on style, championing latex undies, bubble dresses, Geisha lips, thigh-high boots and post-it note dresses, which have widely been regarded as pretty darn fashionable.

The fashion pack absolutely love her and I can see why; she different. She’s completely and utterly bonkers when it comes to style, and that’s why we’re all under her little GaGa spell.

You know she’s never going to wear the same thing twice, you know that a pair of jeans are just not an option for her, and you know that you’re going to get value for your money if you ever see her at a stylish event.

Aside from the humour behind her clothes, people generally just seem to accept that she is eccentric and love her for it, rather than ostracize her or try to pigeon hole her into a ’sexy starlet’

I quite liked her orb hat, not least because it made me LOL when she nearly hit Ellen in the face when she went to hug her, but because it made her look wonderfully odd.

Although I’d never dare to give her looks a go, I think she’s fab and someone who is really in control of her own career and style. So, go GaGa, Go!

Wedding Dress Fashion

Wedding dresses as a fashion choice on a day other than THE big one may seem a bit crazy but we’re afraid it may be a surprise trend this summer. If not for us regular folk then certainly for our celebrity counterparts.

To be honest though with some stars choices, they do actually look like they are wearing wedding dress, particularly at last weeks tacky-dress spectacular the Soap Awards. Who’d have thought Hollyoaks’ Theresa McQueen had booked her wedding for the same day and have to rush to the awards in her wedding dress! Oh…she hadn’t you say? That was just her dress of choice? Ooooh….

With skirts getting bigger and poofier and frilly details like ruffles, 3D decoration and feathers taking over the catwalk most dresses only need to be dyed white to look like a bona fide wedding gown.

Our advice to you? When you hear rumours of a surprise celebrity wedding in the press, don’t be too believing they are probably just modelling the latest trend!
