Beverley Knight announced as the face of curly haircare specialists

Beverley Knight has been announced as the new celebrity ambassador for curly haircare specialists Mizani.

The partnership will see the songstress represent the professional haircare range in all key salon and press marketing materials to highlight how the premium products and treatments help women with curly hair textures achieve beautiful, healthy looking hair.

Beverley comments: “It feels wonderful to be the MIZANI ambassador. The brand exemplifies everything that I’m about; freedom, movement and sleekness. The MIZANI woman is a strong woman; she knows her own mind. She knows where she is going. She is quite typically a powerful woman but not overpowering. She is confident, she is fun, she holds herself beautifully; she’s regal, positive – and that’s what I feel I am. Which is why the partnership with MIZANI is a perfect fit.”

The brand, which launched in 1991 and is part of the prestigious L’Oréal Professional

Products Division, hand-picked Beverley to be the face of MIZANI throughout 2014 and early

“Selecting Beverley Knight as the new MIZANI celebrity ambassador is thrilling,” says Tumi

Soyinka, MIZANI Senior Product Manager. “Not only is she a household name but she genuinely loves the brand. I am personally very excited to work with her and feel that her drive, dedication and passion for all projects she involves herself in – past and present – will also shine through in her new appointment.”

Beverley continues: “My favourite MIZANI product at the moment is the H20 Intense Night-Time

Treatment (RRP £9.80, 142g); it works like an absolute dream. I’m also a huge fan of

Supreme Oil Sulfate-Free Moisturizing Shampoo (RRP £12.90, 250ml) and Conditioner (RRP £13.35, 250ml). The point is that they work! They completely moisturise Afro and curly textured hair. And our hair, whilst it’s versatile, it can be quite brittle and quite fragile, so you need to pump as much moisture in it as you can. MIZANI products do exactly that.”

Skincare essential backstage at every fashion show

A thorough model skincare regime is paramount during Fashion season to achieve a flawless complexion, and skincare products offering quick repairing and restorative products take centre stage behind the scenes of the catwalks across New York, London, Milan and Paris.

Make up artist Tom Pecheux reveals the key to a good ‘no makeup, makeup look’ is good skin care and recommends using the Eau Thermale Avène Cicalfate Repair Cream, £7.50 from Boots, as a moisturiser for extreme weather conditions, describing the cream as a “heavy artillery” moisturiser.

The Eau Thermale Avène Cicalfate (£7.50, 40ml) Boots will help the skin recover and prevent scarring thanks to medicinal grade sucralfate which is providing broken skin with a mechanical protection against further aggression as well as a favourable environment to promote the healing process, in the same way a plaster would work.

It also minimises the risk of infections using Copper sulphate, Zinc sulphate and Zinc oxide. Suitable for use on damaged, eczema-prone skin; burns; cracked skin; stitches; cold sores; after hair removal; to calm nappy rash; post medical skin treatments; or wounded skin.

Contains clinically proven soothing and anti-irritating Avène Thermal Water, Eau Thermale Avène Cicalfate can be applied as often as needed. Suitable for babies, children and adults. Paraben free.
