Shop with the stars at Fenwick

Fenwick of Bond Street, official fashion partner to The Olivier Awards 2014 is to launch a one off shopping evening on April 10th 2014 with support from the stars of the stage and screen to raise funds and awareness for the charity Acting For Others.

For one special evening, the crème de la crème of British actors will take their spotlight to the shop floor at Fenwick of Bond Street. Manning the tills & being personal shoppers, these performers will spend from 6pm to 8pm serving Bond Street customers to raise money for The Olivier Awards’ charity partner, Acting For Others. Perhaps you’ll hear Biggins on the tannoy, or maybe you will stumble across Emilia Fox in the Beauty department. Strictly between us, we expect Natalie Gumede to come dancing, Bill Deamer to lead a tap dancing class & so much more! Fenwick of Bond Street will also be donating a percentage of sales during this period to the charity.

Shop With The Stars’ highlights include:

  • In association with The Olivier Awards and Acting For Others, Fenwick of Bond Street will be offering customers the chance to join an exclusive ‘In conversation with Dame Judi Dench’ (interviewed by Susanna Reid) – with champagne and nibbles at the Bond & Brook restaurant.  Tickets to this unique event will cost £100, with 100% of profits donated to Acting For Others.  Visit: www.fenwick.co.uk/shop-with-the-stars for ticket details. Guests will also have access to Simon Annand’s acclaimed photographic exhibition The Half, featuring actors preparing for the stage in the last half hour before show time.
  • Olivier Award winning director and choreographer, Bill Deamer will be leading a tap class on Fenwick’s 3rd floor. Tickets are limited and on a first come first served basis. Participants can take part by pledging £10 – with proceeds donated to Acting For Others. Please bring along your own tap shoes if you have a pair!
  • Cantando Events – four singers from the West End will be entertaining customers throughout the evening on a Grand Piano on the ground floor, with VIP guest stars singing alongside!

As official fashion partner to the Olivier Awards 2014, Fenwick of Bond Street will be dedicating its iconic Bond Street windows to the world of theatre. Four of its windows will celebrate the Olivier Awards, with costumes from the Olivier Award winning musical Top Hat and this year’s nominated designers plus life size replicas of the iconic Laurence Oliver Award itself (affectionately referred to as Larry.) One of the windows will be dedicated to the V&A, and will feature a giant ‘behind the scenes’ image of Dame Judi Dench photographed by Simon Annand titled ‘Beautiful Picture’

Louise Redknapp and PETA announce winners of 2014 Vegan Fashion Awards

Louise Redknapp is flying the flag for compassion in fashion by recognising the best animal-free clothing and accessories as guest judge of the PETA-Approved Vegan Fashion Awards. The super-stylish TV presenter, who has been consistently voted one of FHM‘s Sexiest Women and is happily married to football heart-throb Jamie Redknapp, combined her passion for fashion and love for animals by teaming up with PETA on its second annual awards.

As more people discover how easy it is to be kind to animals by choosing pleather, faux-fur, mock-croc and other cruelty-free garments, more and more top designers and high-street retailers are meeting the demand for top-quality vegan fashion.

Regent Street launches its very own London Fashion Week with Instant Glam

Today is the launch of Regent Street’s very own London Fashion Week for the capital’s shoppers, inspiring fashionable Londoners to dress up in their most stylish outfits and pose for “Instant Glam”.

Shoppers who visit Regent Street’s French Connection, Superdry, United Nude and Armani Exchange stores can seek out their favourite outfits in store, or come dressed to impress and strike a Fashion Week pose in front of the bespoke Regent Street boards.

Five winners will each receive a £200 Regent Street Gift Card by simply taking a selfie in front of an Instant Glam board in their most stylish outfit and then posting it to either Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest.  Each post will need to include the hashtag #RegentStreet and the words “Instant Glam” to enter.

The Instant Glam campaign begins on Thursday 13 February and will run for seven days within French Connection, Superdry, United Nude and Armani Exchange only on Regent Street. All Instant Glam selfies posted will be entered into a prize draw, taking place on 3 March 2014.

All Facebook, Twitter and Instagram entries will also be shown on 24/7, Regent Street’s bespoke social media hub accessed through regentstreetonline.com. The hub creates a virtual window where everyone can engage in real-time conversations with the Regent Street shops, restaurants, cafés, bars and hotels.
